Do I need to let my droid bionic die once a week or once a month or something like that because I know apple devices like iphones and ipods you need to let them die every now and then so do I need to do that with this phone?

That's been debated for along time over many different phones. My 2 cents is no.

I charge my phone nightly, no ill effects yet.

That's what you do.

The question was about making it drain to 0% and then recharging.

Older batteries had to be "conditioned". You got a new battery, drained it to 0%, charged to 100% and repeated it twice more.

This is not recommended for the battery that came in your Bionic.

As was mentioned before ... check out the Battery Institute.

My original battery used to drain all the way, at least 2 times a week (work is a dead spot). It would retain a charge with no problem. I have upgraded to the extended battery. It gets as low as 15-30% after a bad day at work & only 70% when I work from home (WiFi). I can't really complain aside from wanting a better signal at work.
