Beautiful Widgets weather not updating

I'm sure it had nothing to do with it, but I notified Google once I was convinced it was their problem, and 30 minutes later it was fixed. Surely, that was a coincidence. I don't think I have that much power with the almighty :)

I had that for awhile, but it constantly runs (check your Running Services). Beautiful Widgets is nice because it doesn't run constantly. It only activates every x-number of minutes based on your settings.
 
Both Weather and Toggle Widget and Beautiful Widgets both working now in NC.

I have and use both. Haven't noticed any extra battery drain with either one and I monitor both closely.

Difference is WT only has a lowest update interval of 30 minutes. I need the 15 minute interval BW offers.

I emailed to WT developer and he said tough, just do a refresh. i emailed him back stating that I need the 15 minute update option to do my work, we will see what he says.

Can't see why he wouldn't add 15 minute option for paying customer like me.

Guess his rep is on the line right here and now.;)

I used to use that, but it FC'd on me all the time, and would not stay in memory even though I'm using Keep Home in memory. It had to reload everytime. BW has more options and skins.

Also, mine is updating again as well. Guess I'll see you all here again next time this happens? :rolleyes:

yup, i noticed toggle widget was still in memory when i went back to BW yesterday.
 
I just got beautiful widgets, and the weather seems to be pretty much on and off.
It was working earlier but now under the date it just says "N/A".

Any idea what the problem could be?
 
Mine seems to be off again...been stuck at 92 degrees since 7am this morning. Am I the only one?
 
It does seem very patchy. I want to use it because I paid for it but it does seem to lock the weather annoyingly.
 
Yep .. it is getting to be quite annoying .. they really just need to switch to another feed for the weather updates. If it is just that easy. I too paid for it and want to keep using it but this is ridiculous.

The description in the app market says there is a big update is in the work. Maybe that has something to do with it. I am not sure how long that has been in the description.
 
Mine has been thinking it was still Saturday and I was still in the city and state where I was then. But just now I turned on GPS, went into the Maps app, and let it acquire my location, and after that BW updated OK.
 
I have downloaded Beautiful widgets, fancy widget, and weather/toggle widget, and NONE of them are updating with the correct temperature (clock is fine). I have the samsung captivate, but im not sure if its the phone or the widgets?
 
I believe it is the weather feed that the widget is using to get its' info that is acting up. It looks like it is the same feed that google is using. I log into my google account and the weather displayed there is the same as on my widget. Stuck at 92.
 
I also have the Samsung Captivate and am using the WF and clock widget and am not getting a proper reading. Dang you widget!!
 
whew....thought I was losing it. I started using BW a couple days ago and really like the clock/weather, until I noticed it was frozen on 88 degrees.
Hopefully they'll get it figured out soon.
Glad this post is here, and glad I know I'm not the only one.
 
Here is an email response I got from them...

"Actually I am using Google as a weather provider which is not reliable recently. But I have a good news, I have now an agreement with a professional weather feed and will use it. I am working very hard on coding the new feed right now and hope to release as soon as possible! Hopefully that should be within 2 days."
