been gone for a while, now i'm BACK~!

Here's my situation in a nut-shell.

1. i am on zenexp, and was satisfied with it for a while. now i'm bored, and want something better.

2. i recently installed windows 7 on my laptop, so how do i go about setting up my laptop with my rooted Hero? i.e. do i have to re-root my phone using my laptop?

3. what is the newest and greatest rom out there right now? i've been reading a lot about this "CM6".

once again, i was once a "rom-aholic", but i settled down. now i'm trying to get back into the game. So i guess you can say i'm a born-again noob.

2. No, you should not have to reroot your phone. But make adb still works

3. Depending on what you want, do you want a sense rom or an AOSP rom. nfinite's roms are still being worked on. If you want a no-bloatware stock sense ui rom, look at LiquidSense. These are 2.1 roms

If you are going to try an AOSP rom, look at aospMod 0.9.9.2 or CM6. These are 2.2.1/froyo roms

2.3.1/Gingerbread is being worked on right now, still unstable but it is stable imo. The camera does not work.

There is also a 2.2 sense/froyo rom out there also, again the camera does not work

Sorry, how do i go about making adb still work?

I like the Sense rom's, and i would also like my camera to work. so any recommendations?
 
so i'm back to report that i flashed LiquidSense with great success. So far so good. And i'm loving the speed. Thanks again~

p.s. Now that i'm back in the rom-flashing game, i've never tried a non-Sense UI rom. IF i was to, which would should i go for? disadvantages of a non-Sense rom and advantages???

Non-sense roms will be quicker but will not have the sense widgets from HTC. Most applications from the android market will be just as good, imo

CM6, aospMod(both 2.2/froyo) or if you want, there is an unstable Gingerbread rom out there without a working camera
