Accessories Best Battery

Today I just received my new 1500mAh battery from DealExtreme. Designed for the HTC Touch Pro2. Battery is roughly the same size as the original one, so no extra bulk. Only paid $5.01 including shipping.

Tried installing it earlier, but it appears that they shipped it with a charge. :-(
I will post back after I've had a chance to charge / use it.

I really like the HTC TP2 1500mAh battery - it makes my case bulge just a tiny bit, mixed reports on how many have the case bulge and how many do not - but it shouldnt be too big a deal.

I do however, really REALLY like the HTC Extended battery and door - 2150mAh - it adds weight and girth but truly lasts a good enough time for me to get through the day.

I ordered from EBay seller BidAllies after hearing lots of good things about them on this forum:

OEM ORIGINAL HTC BATTERY 35H00123-00M FOR HERO DASH 3G - eBay (item 160445592119 end time Jul-15-10 06:53:58 PDT)

1500 mAh for $14.95 (free shipping). No extra bulk at all.

No question about it 1500mah OEM TouchPro2 battery is the best bang for your buck without needing a new back.

The Ebay 2600mah for $14 is the best if you don't mind almost doubling your phones thickness

Go on . . .

I had trouble getting it to charge (amber light wouldn't come on). The phone wouldn't turn on with it installed. Perhaps I just got a dud battery.

I ended up tearing it apart to see if it had any other identifying marks (it didn't) and then it went into the circular file.

Thats too bad . . . Thanks for the update though. :)

I have 3 of the 1500mah DX batteries. They all work just fine. Though it is worth noting that you will not get much of an extended life with it. They are great for back up batteries, but last about the same amount of time as the stock 1350mah. I bought a 2600mah DX battery intended for the htc touch diamond 2. It definitely lasts a lot longer, but I am going to have to modify my back plate if I intend to use it indefinitely...

I recommend the Chinese knock offs. Two 1100mah batteries and a desktop charger for $12. They're marketed as 1500mah, so if you email them, they will do a partial refund at least.
