Best Browser (your browser choice)

I like Dolphin with Dolphin Jetpack. I like the speed dials, that it can have a home button , and that from home...2 clicks and the app is closed.

Another vote for Dolphin. It's butter smooth, has flash (even in KitKat), really good favorites management, and it hasn't crashed on me once.

Dolphin often craps out on me, which is a shame because I like it a lot (especially with the Lastpass addon). So usually I just use Chrome since it works pretty well and it syncs with my desktop.

Hey peeps I was gonna start a new thread but maybe my question will fit here
I'm looking for a form filler. Since I quit smoking and started using electronic cigarettes I've been ordering a lot of stuff online.
SwiftKey actually does a pretty good job of knowing what I'm gonna enter in address fields but isn't perfect.
Are there any form filler add ons for any of the browsers or even a stand alone app?
Cheers

Boat Browser Mini (paid) for me.

I prefer the Mini version to the full-sized Boat. I have tried Chrome, Opera, Dolphin, Maxthon and Puffin. I found that Boat worked the best for me. Some of the others did not play videos as well and some did not wrap text (or at least I could not figure out how to make it work). Some browsers did not play well with Yahoo which I like to use a lot.

I use Boat on three devices running 2.2, 2.3.3 and 4.1.2. I found that setting the user agent to "safari" works best for me for a tablet and "android" for a small screen phone. I have also downloaded the last version of Adobe flash with the Boat browser flash setting set to "on demand". Boat takes up less memory than competitors, can be run from SD card if that option is available and works fast and reliably.

I use Boat Browser. It's easier to navigate on smaller screens than in dolphin, chrome, stock, firefox, etc. to me.

I really appreciate the list of browser that have an exit option. I was sick and tired of hitting the back button seemingly forever.

Plus I really like the Boat browser for the brief time I have now used it.

Don't know about Chrome, but Firefox, Boat, and Dolphin all have exit options in the menu to cleanly exit your browser without having to back arrow all the way out.

I also like the Boat Browser password manager add-on for websites I have to log in to.
I am also now liking the fact that if you use the same version of Firefox on desktop and device that you can sync bookmarks between them. I know Chrome does this as well but I personally don't like Chrome.

I made the switch from Dolphin to the stock browser on my S2 on Gingerbread a long time ago due to Samsung's browser scrolling smoother. I then (as hypocritical as this sounds) switched to Chrome as its features started to more closely mirror the desktop. I started using it around the time that they had simultaneous releases of the same version (people often forget how far behind the Android version of Chrome was back then).

I've tried Dolphin w/Jetpack, but still stick with Chrome. Over the last 6+ months it has gotten a lot smoother and is mostly fluid now on both my S4 GPE and my Moto X.

I haven't had a need or desire for Flash for a long time, but if I did, Dolphin would be the first thing for me to try due to familiarity.

Thus far, Boat doesn't seem to work with Android L preview. I reported it to the dev, so I guess it's just the waiting game now.

I love Dolphin, as long as I am on a wi-fi network.
I love chrome because of its efficiency and the feel. I uninstalled the default android browser the moment I rooted my device. I have just one problem with the updated chrome, it doesn't show multiple tabs (or their names) until you switch the orientation to landscape.

I usually prefer Firefox, mostly because it's so similar to Firefox on my desktop. However, I can't seem to get it to support Chromecast on either platform, so I've resorted to using Chrome for that. I find Chrome extremely unintuitive and it doesn't support many extensions/add-ons either. However, since installing Boat and Dolphin, now I cannot connect anything with my Chromecast, except via my PC desktop! Cannot find any reason.

Hi, what I look for mainly is, browser launch speed, memory usage, page loading times, force zoom webpages.
Most don't have forced zoom feature. Reading micro text isn't good for anyones eyes. For reading some mobile sites, looking at pictures, ect it's a pretty essential feature.
Not many browsers offer this feature so I found really good browsers which I uninstalled (like cm browser) becasue this feature wasn't available.

The winner for me is Google Chrome with Adaway for ad blocking. It has forced page zoom feature. The browser and pages load fast, has all the modern features, the tabs are cool, browser is easy and light. Intergrates with google.

My backup browser is UC Browser. This browser seems to load all web pages perfectly. Also it has page zoom and will block ads by default. Very smooth, has hardware exceleration. This was the only browser to log me into a hotel webpage to get internet, all the rest i had failed to load the page correctly, which saved me.
This browser is feature rich with lots of customizations. The only drawbacks with uc is that the home screen is hard work. If this browser didn't have the home screen then UC would be my best browser.

Firefox, Dolphin ad Opera unfortunately don't have forced page zoom feature either, so these aren't usable for me.
If anyone can suggest a browser that supports forced page zoom like Chrome and UC which is good i'd be interested to know about it. Thanks.

There is a review of them on here:

I used to love Boat Browser. I used that on my first three devices: Optimis M, Lg Motion, LG F6.

However, since switching to the LG F60, I've had to go back to Dolphin. On this device, the text never seems to fit the screen properly, especially on sites like Reddit where I spend a lot of time. It'll start out small, I'll tap the screen or pinch/zoom to enlarge and it'll still be to small. Does anyone know how to correct this?

Also, when watching videos on Boat it no longer lets me watch them via Pro Player Plus as it did on previous devices.

Text reflow on zoom was removed from the WebKit (underlying engine that many browsers use) by Google some time ago - pretty sucky move on their part. Dolphin seems to have more code added back in an attempt to fix that.

To get video out to another player, try long press on the link, copy, go to video player, paste into the network stream input. This shifts around for me like musical chairs with browser and player updates, no idea what the permanent fix is.

If you use multiple browsers, you can quickly switch between them by installing Choose Browser and sharing to that.

For lost Chromecast problems, try to reset the Chromecast and failing that, one user recently found that uninstalling and re-installing the Chromecast app seemed to work.

Hope this helps!
