I agree. I felt $249 was stretching a bit, but $299 is really out of the price range for me. I've been seeing HTC is coming out with the HTC Merge (no FFC), Incredible S (FFC, but 3G) and the Desire S (FFC, but only 5MP on the rear). They said those would be coming out on Verizon. I'm interested to see what the pricing on the Incredible S will be. Oh, it says the Incredible S is being introduced in Europe, not the US. Oh well.

Jay will be able to better participate in the planning of his wedding once he recieves his T-BOLT!

Verizon is hatin' on love. Damn you Verizon, why do you want to destroy Jay's wedding?
 
It's starting off eerily quiet today...and for all of us waiting, just another 'manic monday' (to coin a phrase)???

And to top it all off, that Verizon call center sales lady was a no-show on her promised early a.m. call to me with supposed big t-bolt news. I'm begining to think that Verizon is sucking the smart right out of smartphone!

You know, worst thing about it is that this is going to force me to get some work done today. So, it's come to this? :confused:
 
Hey Jay, quick question: t-bolt lands at BB - your wedding....which party do you think we will all be coming to first? :D
 
This is really frustrating. My wife and I want to switch to Verizon from AT&T. We are so fed up with AT&T and their crappy reception. She dropped her iPhone last week causing her screen to crack. So she is really anxious to get the iPhone 4 while I get the Thunderbolt. We are still dealing with AT&T because of the constant delays or lack of a release date for the TB.
 
Well at least my Best Buys has finally changed their tune. They were touting EVERY release date (Feb 10th, 14th, 24th, 28th etc etc). Went in there this morning and the girl finally said "We have no word sadly, not even my HTC rep knows what the hell is going on :/".

I'd be happy if I got a call this afternoon to come in but I am not getting my hopes up. That way if it DOES happen I will be surprised instead of disappointed if it doesn't.
 
I just got off the phone with two separate Verizon Wireless stores in the Chicago area. I spoke to managers both times. They both seemed knowledgable, aware of what was going on, sympathetic, and apologetic.

They both said the exact same thing:

"The HTC Thunderbolt was supposed to have been released today, February 28th after weeks of delays. Unfortunately we received word this morning that we will NOT be receiving our shipments of the phone and it has been delayed indefinitely. We EXPECT it no later than March 10th, but at this point we are in the dark as to what is going on with it."

Take it at face value. I have been unable to call my local Best Buy I preordered it from, but it looks like "The Saga Continues".

This is such a soap opera at this point lol :P

The price for even cracked-screen iPhones on Ebay is insane. They also sell iPhone screen repair kits online. I say look at the prices on Ebay for a cracked screen and a non-cracked screen iPhone, if the price difference is smaller than the price of buying the repair kit and repairing it yourself, put that thing on Ebay.

I decided to call one more store in Chicago just for the hell of it:

"They are putting the finishing touches on the firmware at this point and addressing a few minor issues with 4G LTE connectivity on the device. We are expecting it mid to late March."

I wonder at times if ANYONE has a clue WTF is going on lol :)
