Best Buy Details

Well I think that info is old, I think that them putting the new firmware on the phones happened over the last 2 weeks and they picked up on this info a little late.
 
I can see the lightning on the horizon but I still don't hear(?) the thunderbolts.
Does anyone know what a thunderbolt actually is?

i have always considered a thunderbolt to be a lightning bolt that strikes close enough to you that you hear the thunder at the same time. if they strike farther away, you would see a lightning bolt and hear thunder afterward. when they are close it is one sensory event, hence, thunderbolt.

Hey, do you know if Verizon has LTE in Tucson yet? I see ads for 4g on the verizon stores windows but don't know if they actually have it

all the ones around me have 4G banners as well... and we're not scheduled to get it until at least 2012. i would guess that all VZ stores get the same marketing materials from corporate regardless of whether or not 4G is available in the area.

Spartanburg and Greenville if this is close to you, look they got bumped up to some time 2011, so you may be getting it sooner then 2012

i am hoping that it will reach me. the problem is that i think they are considering greenville/spartanburg as one market, which means the coverage will be strongest somewhere between them. i am 30 miles from greenville and 60 from spartanburg, so i am keeping my fingers crossed. anyone know how far the LTE700 will carry??
 
^ Nothing wrong with a bit of off topic wandering is there? It is what keeps me sane from the boredom of unsubstantied rumor after rumor. I find it pretty big and relevant news about the possible imminent tiered 4G data plans. For many the decision on the phone is intricately tied to their evaluation of the fairness/affordability of the 4G data plans.
 
I do t know man 2-4 weeks and early april kind of a turn off at that point man this phone has nothing but bad news
 
I think they took a nugget of info ran it throuh some uniformed conjecture and came up with stupid trash story for the net sure to inflame the rabid masses who want the phone.

I feel certain I will have mine Thursday, no later than a week from tomorrow.
 
I've been patient. I've researched Bolt vs. Bionic, made my choice, kept my eye on the ball (or bolt as it were), I've tried to avoid the major disappointments of rumored arrival dates coming and going, I've watched V-iPhone 4 get released, Xoom get released, iPad 2 get released, Atrix get released. I'm now starting to get fed up. I swear, if this gets pushed back to April I think I'm going to spontaneously combust faster than a drummer in Spinal Tap! Somebody talk me off the ledge...

I'll try. They are trying to release a phone without a lot of issues and flaws. We've seen that movie before with the Eris and the DI. So what if we wait another few weeks, what is the harm if we get a relatively stable phone? Unfortunately, BB and VZW screwed up with the pre-order thing, but other than that it's really just our desire to be on the cutting edge. And it's a double edge sword to be frank. On one side we get the latest, and on the other we get cut down (read: disappointed) now and again. But overall we all know it's worth the wait so let's be supportive of each other and pull each other through this. By June we'll all be surgically attached to this device and they won't be able to pry it from our hands.

lol@ this week's ad not even having the Blunderbolt on any of its pages. Not a good sign. Although if it comes out this week, Best Buy will really have egg on its face, advertise it when it doesn't come out, and then doesn't advertise when it does come out.

I dont think they put it in the ad this week because they thought it would be out 3 weeks by now. They dont advertise everything every week the day it comes out.

Yes. Everyone chill out and wait for our awesome phones. What I do in times like these is occupy myself with other nerdy things to distract myself with. Such as update the ROM on your current phone, or finish that replay of Mass Effect 2 you've been waiting to finish, buy some other nerdy tech stuff to keep you distracted until the Tbolt arrives.

And if you get bored, there are always interesting side discussions and forum games in The Lounge - Android Forums - and active sections on Politics, Book, entertainment, etc etc.

And everyday there are plenty of Android newcomers that don't know the right questions to ask to get needed help - we welcome all the help we can get on that over here in our Android Lounge - Android Forums

Is that a function of the mods or is it a setting in your User CP?


As far as the ad goes though, I just think it would be funny if the TB comes out this week and it's not in Best Buy's advertisement.
