Exactly. The BB I ordered from is a pretty massive store in our area, and they told me as of 4 minutes ago that the TB is a go for sales Sunday unless they are told otherwise. Otherwise being from BB corporate, as he said they set their own release dates when they have an exclusive. (Not sure if thats true, just giving all info I received) Also said that they were instructed to tell people on Sunday (if they come in to buy one) that they are available for purchase, as they will have X amount more then needed for pre sales.

The problem with these theories is that either big stores get stuff & can release stuff before smaller stores, or that it's absolute nonsense. I just called my Best Buy moments ago and the person who answered said that they were expecting a shipment in from the 19th-26th. Now given, the person I talked to seemed absolutely clueless and stuttered when I mentioned the word Thunderbolt, but do you guys really think that certain Best Buys would release things before other ones?

I really don't know. I have heard that larger stores with more pre-order demand for X product (insert whatever product you like) sometimes get them before stores with little to no pre-order or fanfare. Either way, I hope we all see this device sooner rather then later, and any speculation is put to rest asap by it's announcement and subsequent release. :)
 
just got off the phone with the location where i had preordered the phone and spoke with the mgr. he said he just recieved a txt msg stating the XOOM is launching on the 24th and the TB on the 28th. he also said that even though they get the phone any earlier they dont have authorization to launch it til the 28th... i dk what to believe or think anymore

There is a new Radiohead album to listen to. Stop worrying about the TB and occupy your minds with that.

Or, if you really want to think about something that sucks ... get this ... My OG Droid broke on Monday. Total KIA. I'm phoneless until I get my TB. I have to use GTalk to make phone calls right now. So you think you have it bad waiting? Try waiting and not even having a phone...
 
Honestly with the credibility issues that anyone has with this phone's release it's absolutely pointless to even trust anyone. Jay's got some pretty definitive proof so we can all legitimately believe him, but anyone else (myself included) is basically just throwing rumors out there that ultimately end up causing more chaos than what has already risen from this release.

It seems more like a school yard one upping each other type of thing. I love seeing people post their info, but some of it is just obviously BS. But, that's what you get when bunches of people are eagerly awaiting their next phones release.
 
i admit credibility has its place... and jay is hands down the most credibility we have here on this post. im just posting this info off of what ive heard... believe me im anxiously waiting for this phone to come out as much as the nxt person. cant base credibility off of how many posts you've put up. rather by what youve heard and/or seen

So, I think we ought to lighten up on tech.

What we ought to do is stop listening to best buy, period. They don't seem to have any clue as to what is going on, and until we hear an official announcement from htc or verizon, just relax and hope it is sooner than later.

I give credit to Jay for bringing what proof he has, but his info is no better than any of the people I just spoke to, frankly.

I also apologize for the bold, I can't turn it off, I don't know why. LOL
