Okay... I just returned from my Best Buy trip. The girl in Mobile is an IGNORANT %%@$# but the store manager was a good guy. According to them, it is delayed once again with no ETA. I kindly asked the store manager to hang a retraction/correction (there WAS NOT one in the store) and asked which address I should use to file my complaint. I told him I would keep his store out of it, because I know it wasn't his fault. He sighed and said "I appreciate it" I told him it's not HIS fault that he was left to hang out to dry like this. It IS however BB Corporate's fault for putting out an ad listing an item for sale that they weren't sure they could provide.

I agree, the ad correction is just basically saying its not available yet, doesn't say its TBD. The fact they mention that Skype won't be available says we'll definitely see this launch before the end of the month if the Skype message i still in Verizon's system as Feb 28th especially...

and about that New Jersey thing on the ad, I think it relates to the info on policies, and Verizon's corporate headquarters and warehouse on the East Coast is in New Jersey, there are other warehouses that distribute Verizon devices, but the main thing here is talking about policies and disclaimers

kinda how when you order something from your same state that you have to pay the sales tax for it if it ships from the same state its being delivered

atleast thats my theory on why New Jersey is called out there

We really don't know what may be causing this, it may be multiple factors especially if the date on VZW side was moved up. It could be as simple as how the billing / 4G sim card activation functionality works on a phone in the VZW systems. I don't like the delay but BB does have some culpability here not just VZW.

Since they're already selling 4G LTE modems with SIMs, I'm not sure why that would be an issue.
 
So let me continue to beat a dead horse in the saga of the Thunderdon't.....

This weeks BB circular states TB priced at $249 (price good 2/20/2011-2/26/2011) for a phone who's availability is TBD. The newest BB phone buyers guide says TB for $299 (price valid 2/20/2011-3/26/2011).

I realize to some the $50 is trivial, but can you imagine the $hit storm that BB will face if they don't extend the $249 offer after 2/26/2011???

Geez, ever since my preorder I've been bugging BB mobile so much I'm beginning to feel like Lenny from Of Mice and Men: "...and when my t-bolt comes in I get to hold it and take it home with me and keep it...you guys promised, right?" I almost feel like if I show up there again asking about it they will take me out to the creek behind the store..."there we go sir...look up there on the hill...picture the fedex trucks coming in carrying all those nice t-bolts." We all know what comes next. Hey, it could happen.

Relax it's the weekend - and for some, a 3 day one! :)

And, yeah, that red light behind the t-bolt speaker for notifications would be cool as shown in the screen shot. Reminds me of the soft glow of the Eris track ball that was pretty slick.
 
Even if it DID somehow get released today, I'm not heading out of my house. We are expecting 12-18 inches of snow today.... I do wish I had the shiny new phone though ;) Time will tell.
 
Just called a local BB and they said they haven't even SEEN anything on it yet, and he usually gets a couple of days "Heads-up" prior to any new phones releasing.

Sure hope he's wrong....
 
I think some of these stores that say they haven't seen anything on it are just playing stupid and prolly don't want to give u a date and info to have it then not be that, they don't want to have to deal with people just like the whole 14th release date.
 
Feb 28 at VZW. As far as BB goes I believe its like Jay said. Most stores put up the notice that they do not have them instock YET because of "threats" and "harassment" from impatient customers, but however they will soon. Soon being the 24th or 26th. This is just a speculation though. With no publicly announced date yet it very hard to say.
 
wow this sucks. As much as I hope it is released earlier, we have to be realistic and expect the 28th for the launch. Bestbuy is just as anxious as we are, giving out the earliest possible date they can expect.

Hopefully they work out that pricing thing soon and get it down to $250 across the board. Im wondering if its just another ploy to get us all talking about the phone as if there wasn't enough speculation already.
 
My bb just called me and said the phone has been delayed which of course I knew that cause of this forum, and that they have no idea when it's coming out, she used the word delayed for awhile. So this all is just one big cluster f, and I am sick of verizon not giving a date, at least give a date yuh know and if they can't make that date then delay it. But not saying anything just makes it worse. So I just can't understand how bb knows all this info, then some have no clue.
