OK. So I just called my BB out of curiosity to see what the deal is there since the online ad shows the TB, and then somewhere else on the site shows coming soon. Well, the biotch that answered in mobile sealed the deal for me that I will definitely wait for the Verizon release and (since I'm now aware of the non-rebate issue in store) go directly to the sales guy I always deal with.
Me: Yes, ma'am. I was looking at your online ad and noticed the HTC Thunderbolt listed. I also noticed another listing on your site showing coming soon. Is this phone available now?
Her: It's not available. We're only taking pre-orders.
Me: Thank you. Do you know when the phone will be released?
Her: (Insert attitude in tone here) We're taking pre-orders and I have no idea when it will be here. It's pre-orders only. No, I don't know when it's coming.
Now, I do happen to probably know more than she does from my forum and internet time, but she didn't know that, and there's no need to get snippy. My first reaction as someone who doesn't know what's going on would be, "Why are you taking pre-orders for something you don't have any clue when you'll be getting?"
Also, I don't care if I was customer 1 or 10,000 that called in. I wasn't rude. No need for her to be rude.
Too bad J's store isn't closer. I might just go pre-order from him.
