I'd image they have to be "received" so there is some record. It's not like it is some secret nuclear weapon, just pure awesomeness encapsulated in pure aluminium uni-body.

It only makes since not so show them "in stock". Do I still Need to go up there and take the Picture of the Case there in? IF there in stock like a normal item can i just search for htc thunderbolt in the search field like any other item and it pops up. Its not released yet there for not in the inventory.
 
What about Huntington Beach California jay? Can you check.

Also I work at frys if we get something in stock today it wont show up as instock until the next day. If I check another store it will say zero even if they received the shipment today.

I dont know if that is the case with best buy. Even if we receive something at our store and we check stock it will say 0 then we have to press a few more keys to see if something was delivered today.

When your store receives shipments and you have to scan them into receive them, are there ever times where shipments don't show up in inventory when there street dated or marked not allowed to sell?

When I worked at Circuit City if something was street dated it would be taken out of the system until that day it can be sold, so it would be on inventory as 0 in stock. Also when we received drop shipments sometimes they could not be received until the street date as well to prevent them from being sold early.

also in the event something was street dated and it was received and the system still allowed us to sell it, the managers would remove them from the inventory to make it impossible to sell unless you got a manager to approve it.

I know its BestBuy and not Circuit City but i thought it wouldn't hurt to ask
I'm still hoping for either the 24th or the 28th

sometimes also mis-informed sales associates can be clueless about something arriving in stock if the management team wants to be mum about such things so they don't blab it to the customers, especially if they can't sell it yet, that makes alot of customers angry.
 
Are you sure the system has been updated? I mean our store still shows in stock on the 21st. We still don't have them. I don't think you can always trust RSS jay.

no, even street dated stuff shows up in stock, such as the 8 xoom's we got in today.

thats how it works i can comfirm that cause once i unload shit off the truck it gets scan right into BB system. i think its coming within the week you guys! i checked with another driver that has the big V store on his route and he said they are getting a big shipment within the month if thats worth anything.....
