what do you think about getting a new droid phone untill the thunderbolt comes out and return it. I seems like it will be out with in two weeks. I have an old envy touch which keeps dying on me.

let's see---we're @ 50 pages right now on 2/24 , over the course of about 9 days.
so if it's released on 2/28 we'll hit 70-73 pages, 3/4 we'll hit 85-88 pages. dang.

wonder how long this thread will keep going after :)

hahaha No offense to the people here, it's a very nice community, but after I get this beast I don't see myself coming back to any forums right away. I'll be a little occupied

should i wait for evo 2 and stay on sprint or wait for thunderbolt and change to verizon. this whole delay thing for the thunderbolt is making me nauseous.

Not going to do too much of that right away as this will be my first Android phone. I will have plenty to learn just as far as the OS in general.

Shouldn't take you that long, while it isn't as "user friendly" as iOS it is pretty easy to pick up. Now learning all the details and tricks might take a while, but I think you will like the OS once you give it a few hours... :)

I am eagerly awaiting it. I'm sure I will root a little bit but until I actually have it it's hard for me to know what to expect and what I would want to do with it. Even if I don't want to right away I like having the option there unlike iOS, and I can already tell that there is a great community for when I do get into it.

I want to see the new commercial

This one? the one that aired SuperBowl Sunday?

4G LTE Network | Verizon Wireless click first 4g smartphone where the thunderbolt is and skype is gone

I posted that about 5 pages back and no one noticed....
http://androidforums.com/htc-thunderbolt/278409-best-buy-details-45.html#post2331671

Skype was removed along with the hotspot references, the only thing that remains is the RockBand part

My guess is, they removed all that info (just like HTC did on its product page) just incase those features weren't available at launch.

Ok, so I saw someone post in another thread about being grandfathered over, and decided to drive my arse up to VZW and ask a few questions. I asked about the whole Gpa'ing over and had to go through 2 people before finding one who knew what I was talking about. Dave (The Guy lol) said that anyone who activates a phone BEFORE 4G/LTE is fully released, will be grandfathered over, but you must have a certain plan or higher. (Haven't realeased the plan cutoff yet he said) Also, he said that the TB is looking good for the 3rd of March <--- Grain of salt, but that he couldn't comment on BB stores as they can sell them as soon as they get the go ahead<--- Also a grain of salt. Anyway, just thought I would share. :D

That doesn't seem to be the one. Here is a screenshot of the end of the ad:

I noticed. I think the poster just wasn't with us the entire time the thread has been open.

Thinking about saying the heck with this mess and getting a Fascinate from Wirefly.
My wife has an upgrade coming from VZW in July and then I'd use that to get the 'Bolt (the way it's going, July might be close to release time, anyway).
Then, put the Fasc. on her number and the 'Bolt on mine.
I'd have to wait 6 months for a Wirefly change-right?
Do you think VZW would raise a stink with all that switching around?
I really want the 'Bolt, but my Eris is getting old and I've been waiting for it since the first Mecha rumors. I've had a NE2 since Dec. and I'm just getting tired of all this B.S.
Besides, like someone said, I might be dust by the time this thing is released.

Is it the one where HTC goes through the features? and at the end it says "Find out more in these chapters of the story?"

Only ads i've seen are the SuperBowl innovation ad

I didn't see the ad, lamoglinsgal did. The screenshot I grabbed was from Twitter from someone who was able to just get the last part of the ad on his TV.

"anyone who activates a phone BEFORE 4G/LTE is fully released" -- does this mean that anyone who activates a TB 4G/LTE plan before it is fully released across the nation or before the TB is released? Sorry that I am confused, but I am not on a smartphone plan at the time, so this potentially could matter to me.

I can't say for 100% certainty what he meant, as he may have been as looney as the day is long. LOL But I think he meant beofre it is released nationwide.
