If the Thunderbolt is made just for Verizon and they have the say so on the actual release date then where in the hell is Bestbuy pulling theses dates from and taking pre-orders while Verizon won't. Seriously....
It was strange.. It was showing off the front facing camera but strapping the phone to a helicopter and voice chatting and it was just weird.. haha it was the YOU commercials.
I just saw the same one in Man v food looks like he is inviting people to a party. No coming soon at the end!!!

One of you must have a DVR!

Good point. It is silly making the consumer pre-order a merchandise without having a release date or at least a tentative one.Well...One can only blame Verizon. They told Best buy to put the phones up for pre-order without a RELEASE DATE! Rarely will you ever see a pre-order without a release date and that goes for movies, games etc...
I feel VZW is being very arrogant when they say they never announced a date then actually release the phone late and not make an announcement to calm the masses at this point.
Verizon needs to own this eventually, they messed up!
Im not typing this as if I was mad though, its just something I was thinking about. I am gladly waiting for the TB

That sounds a little different than "the first".
Hasn't Verizon already thrown around the term "world's first 4G LTE phone"?.....I could be imagining that but I thought they did.
Not long after the ThunderBolt was announced, about a few days or so, the press release was changed, Engadget even had a story on this
it went from "the first LTE smartphone, the HTC ThunderBolt exclusively for Verizon Wireless"
to "one of the first LTE smartphones exclusively for Verizon Wireless"
so either something went down during CES that caused them to change there stance as being the first LTE smartphone or Verizon made them change it.
sadly, the Samsung Indulge is the worlds first LTE smartphone on MetroPCS, or so thats what i read when i heard about it trying to come to market before ThunderBolt
fact here was, AT&T, MetroPCS and T-Mobile were all trying to get there 4G phones out first before Verizon, and they have succeeded
but being first doesn't necessarily mean its a good thing, especially if Verizon is finding problems with LTE and delaying the launch to make sure its perfect.
(you would think they would have done this before they launched it in December) If anything if I were the CEO of Verizon, i would have invested all the resources to get LTE off the ground first, then get the fruity phone with LTE on board and beat AT&T to the punch, making it a win win situation for all fans.
