Best Buy in Texas on June 4th

I pre-ordered mine 5/23 at a Houston Best Buy. The mobile rep told me I had just missed the cut off and would have to wait until the second shipment on June 10th, but last Wednesday the manager called and bumped me up to June 4th. I'm number 22, and I pick it up at 7:30. I can't wait.
 
Yeah they kept telling me at one of the new stores south of Houston that they weren't going to do appointments, and then they called me late last week to set up my appointment time. So you might still get a call tomorrow. If you don't I'd just be up at the store when they open or see if anywhere online looks like they can get it too you sooner.

You were #22 and on the second shipment? Thats lame. So im guessing that they only get like 20 phones per shipment?

Pre-ordered on...the 27th, was told due to volume it'd be 6-9, set an appointment time then/there. Rep told me, they might recieve 'extras' on the 4th and to come in and see if it was possible to get 'bumped up' on the 4th.

Spring Tx, Cypresswood location.
 
Damn, never would have figured their would be this many San Antonians, makes me wish I could enjoy yall in on the launch festivities.
 
When I pre-ordered mine at the Best Buy in Rockwall, they signed me up for an appointment time right then and there. I didn't think to ask what number I was, but I could have had the 10:00 am appointment time if I didn't have to work, so......... I'm guessing I was definitely in the first 8 to pre-order at that particular location. I hate to bug the Best Buy mobile guys since I know they're getting a ton of calls about this phone, but I'm going to call later today to make sure that everything is still good to go for my 6:00 pm appointment on Friday afternoon. I'm also going to ask them if they're going to have any docks and if they can set one aside for me.

I've become more and more impatient as I've gotten older, and while the wait is almost over, it's these last two+ days that are the worst. If there was any way I could have convince my wife to let me, I would have bought one of the Google I/O phones that hit eBay last week.

Radio shack is only holding for two days, so if i dont go pick it up by satuday at closing (which i wont since i have one already) it goes for sale to the general public sunday morning.

it could possible to transfered over on teh 4th if i went there showed my receipt and said i didnt want it. however on sunday its first come first serve to it.

I'll be in upstate NY for a couple of DMB shows. My friend pre-ordered an Evo for me already at Radio Shack, and I have a 9 a.m. appointment set up. Its a mall location (Saratoga Springs only has 2 Radio Shacks), so they don't open until 9, but I should be good to go though. :)

I used to work for Best Buy Mobile Department,
and if you do a pre order that means your garunteed a phone.
so if you put money down ahead of time it is not first come first serve for you
you get your appointment to come and get your phone and your garunteed to get it.
they should be setting a phone aside for you as soon as they come in.
and they hold it for 24 hours for you.
