Smartphone Reviews: MT6575 flashing tutorial

I guess this work on any MTK based phone, obviously you need the correct rom in the correct format.

Please tell me what you think about this phone Jiayu G2. It is dual sim, 1GHz MT6575 CPU, 1GB RAM, 4GB ROM, 4.0-inch IPS screen, dual cameras with 8.0 megapixel rear camera, and Android 4.0 ICS.

I just ordered one online at $169.99. Are there others who have this phone?

Just found a English Mod Custom Recovery for HTC t328w for the brave ones to have a go, (repost from the russian forum HTC Desire V (Wind) t328w, MSM7227A 1Ghz, ICS, Dual Sim • 2 • Forum.China-iPhone.Ru

T328W CWM EN Recovery 5.8.3.1.rar - 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download

the phone is now out in India also with Google Play. Ukraine version is yet to be seen. There is also supposed to be a Taiwan version, and a South East Asian version.

I have had my t328w for over a month now and it is in my view the best dual sim GSM android phone out there. great form factor, perfect size, good screen and great battery life. I have stopped using my Galaxy Nexus altogether now.

yes...with weak battery..

Try to understand that is your phone that is incredibly power hungry, not the 1500mAh battery that is weak.

The U960 with a 1500mAh battery lasts a whole day w/o any problem

The same is applicable to the big part of smarphones available today.

Even some Motorola when flashed with a decent baseband.

you don't have my phone.
you have a zte that comes with 2 batteries.
and you don't have this new one.
and please explain your reasons. avoid offending

I don't see anyone talking about Coolpad phones here? they have a lot of dual sim models. what about the 7728? It has dual 1G CPU, 4.0inch, Android 4.0, and dual active sim (both can talk at the same time). anyone knows if it is a good bet?

Looks interesting too, although it lacks the camera flash.

The Italian/French ST core is a newcomer but is already proven in some Xperia phones, so looks surely googd choice, but I'm afraid the U960 is still the only available android phone equipped with a dual radio.

Where you read the coolpad is a dual radio too ?

I read it on its product brochure. I am pretty sure it is true. Coolpad has had other dual radio model before.

If I google for "coolpad 7728 + full active" the only reference I find is your message.

The sellers who sell it don't mention the feature, nor any additional baseband chip. And according to the ST specs looks like the novathor chipset itself doesn't have natively two basebands.

In short I'm still very doubtful although I'm not 100%sure it's a dual standby.

Any reference link you my have would be very appreciated.

I am planning to buy lenovo a750 from merimobile
whether it is a good site
anyone shopped from india???
can they ship the item to anywhere in india???

Seems interesting, but the price looks suspiciously low for this specs on paper.

Yes, 199$ in preorder is a bit low.

But is still not a brand phone like the U960 or the HTC wind.

So likely it's built like the average no brand chinaphone, but with a better SOC.

The other options are, wrong specs or wrong price.

its even cheaper than that, the price on the webpage is 699 RMB, that's about $110. I think the hardware will add up to more than that...its either a serious bargain, or the pricing is wrong.

HTC VT T328t (China Mobile) TD-SCDMA - Monosim

HTC VC T328d (China Telecom) CDMA - Dual SIM

HTC V T328w (China Unicom) WCDMA - Dual SIM

Just guessing: T328b is very likely the same as 328W, minus some branding, plus some languages.

I've read the wikipedia articles for CDMA and WCDMA but I still have no idea which I should buy. I live in Kenya but often travel to UK, USA, Thailand and several African countries. Do I need the T328d or the T328w? Or is this not a geographical issue?

WCDMA is the world standard, with some exceptions:

Most notably US: where nowadays there are two main standards: Sprint and Verizon are using CDMA, AT&T and Tmobile are GSM/WCDMA operators.

China where the three main operators are using three different standards Wcdma, CDMA and TD-Scdma

Korea that is a CDMA country, and Japan where the the situation is more complicated to explain.

In short with a Wcdma phone you are fine in most part of the world, kenya included(all operators are GSM/WCDMA) and Thailand (some operators are WCDMA, some other are CDMA, an there is a PHS operator too).

In a dual standby android phone, can we simultaneously use one simcard for internet and the other simcard for phone calls?
While using either Internet 3G or Phone call, does the other one gets disconnected?

Thanks

Only with U960, if you mean simultanously.

On other phones you can configure internet one one sim and use voice in the other, but during a voice call on one sim the data link is lost in the other.

ON mtk phones during a call on one sim data are unavailable in both of them.
