Accessories Best Extended Battery for Droid X?

Was looking at the gorilla gadget 3500mhz battery, but I wanted to come here and check that it's actually worth the money before purchasing. I definitely want the biggest extended battery I can get for my droid x, but I heard rumors of third party batteries not working again? If this is the case, can someone direct me to the "best of the best" battery to purchase?

I bought an advertised "1800" mA/hour battery on eBay from an Asian supplier. I seasoned with three charge/discharge cycles (does it matter with lithium?) and rigged a test fixture that put the battery under a constant 50mA load (an arbitrary number). The below results were obtained when voltage dropped below 3.0V:

Standard: 1160
New: 1590
Improvement: (1590-1160)/1160=37%

That battery fits the original X chamber. Performance is noticeably better. Note that was with ONE example - your experience may vary. Please report.

There are several vendors offering that battery in the $10 range, including shipping.

I want to go oem for now especially with a key piece to my phones ability and of verizon stores near me seem to only have the droid x2 extended battery in stock. Will this fit?

I got the GG 3500 mah battery for Christmas. Be advised that the phone pretty much won't fit in any case with that battery. I wish I had researched that prior to putting the battery on my list. My suggestion is to go with the Trident Electra combo, which is a battery and case.

I got the extended battery from Verizon. I also got a charger from CellPhoneShop. I carry a battery in my wallet(either the original or the extended_. They are quite thin. So I always have an additional battery to pop in when needed.
