Root BEST Gingerbread rom?

1. A lot of you have very small partitions, e.g. only enough for certain ROMS. I change ROM a lot (ranging from CM7 > GV > Miui > Sense etc). Is it possible to create a custom partition on my internal memory that would be big enough to still use each of those ROMS, but still gain more internal memory than stock (147mb).

2. If I did custom partition my internal memory, is it easy to revert back to the stock partition if I wanted to sell my Desire?

Thanks. :)
You can use Bravo Sense table with 180MB /system and 217MB /data.
You can fit here almost all ASOP ROMs and gain about 70MB extra space (compared to stock 147MB).

Yes, it is an easy process to revert back by using Bravo Stock Table.

Edit: SUroot beat me with an answer.

Redux hasn't been updated to 2.3.4 yet. Its still 2.3.3

There are 2 types of partitioning.

1) Alpharev partition tables
2) Custom MTD

You need alpharev S-ff for both. Alpharev is not custom. You flash a hboot partition table of which there are a few but you are stuck at that size unless you flash a different one.

Custom MTD you have to patch recovery and patch the boot.img of the rom

Custom is more work than alpharev but you get to choose the sizes.

When you sell your desire, RUU will remove all of this.

Thanks. I'm not that fussed about 2.3.4 tbh, I'm still on 2.3.3 myself. What would annoy me though was if I updated now, and they updated it tomorrow. Is an update to 2.3.4. redux imminent?

And RE the partitions. That has cleared things up, but you didn't say if there were any sizes that would allow use of all those ROMS ;) Or if I did custom, would I be gaining much space for all the trouble if I had to keep enough for those ROMS? If I only gained 20mb, I wouldn't bother. If I gained an extra 100+ like you then of course. But I wouldn't do that if I couldn't keep using all those ROMS.

The dev for redux has been doing exams. Not posted on the thread for a while. I expect it will take a few days once he's finished that. Anyway, I'm sure you could just flash an upgrade over the current version.

As for alpharev tables, as Usta says Bravo-Sense gains you 70MB and fits any of those ROMs. Of course it does leave a fair amount of wasted space in /system still, but 70MB less than the default :)
