Accessories Best Incredible [Full] Screen Protector

+1...
+2 actually.
I went ahead and ordered the 3 pack...
You get free shipping that way, plus my brother is getting an Incredible as well,
so now he'll have one the day he gets his new phone.

I wanted a protector that actually covered the front of the phone from top to bottom.
The Boxwave screen protectors cover everything except the earpiece & trackpad....

PERFECT!!!! :D

Looking forward to having the entire front of the phone protected, without the loss of screen clarity.

Thats important to me.

Just ordered a 2 pack of PhantomSkinz for $7.46 shipped. I had ordered a Zagg for ~$10, but I've decided that I'm going to send it back whenever I receive it.

For now, I have an old TP2 PhantomSkin that doesn't cover the entire front but is good enough for the meantime.

That's definitely not how it's supposed to be... it may have to do with the dishwashing soap you used, not sure. Either way, you use a VERY (and I mean very) small amount of Johnson's Baby Wash (which is not harsh and wont damage the film) and make sure you don't stir too much to create bubbles.

The skin is perfectly clear and should not change visibility in any way if installed correctly.

Gotcha. Is there a reason the Steinheil is so popular round these parts? If it scratches easier, is there something that makes it stand out over the wet ones that scratch less?

While it's preference and I don't know the exact reason, I think people prefer the plastic type because they are supposedly more clear and easier to swipe your finger on for the touch screen.

Oh okay cool! I never heard of any of these brands before last week so I don't necessarily care which one I get, just want a clear one with hopefully little fingerprint smudge with tough protection from scratches. I'm def. leaning towards Steinheil anyhow just can't wait to get something on besides the Verizon shield.

Is that the Verizon silicone case on it.... BTW nice job on the install there. Have you seen mine with a Skinomi?...

I know that I have complained about ZAGG InvisibleShield after I installed it this past Saturday in the evening. I had about 12 bubbles left the next day and the information is that they will disappear away within 24 hours.
I was about to return it to ZAGG and get a replacement and have Best Buy installed it. Well, what do you know? Yesterday, I looked at the phone and all but one bubble was gone. I couldn't believe it. It took 4 full days for them to disappear. The only problem with Zagg is that is feels "sticky" and it's terrible with fingerprints, I have to keep cleaning the screen.

Marcelob,

The phone pictured has our Matte Screen Protector on it. Although it has great anti-glare, anti-fingerprint and scratch protection, it does have a slightly textured screen appearance, especially when photographed or looked at closely. This effect is awesome on the rest of the device. Some people prefer it on the screens and some don't. We began shipping 2 Original Clear screen protectors with all Matte Full Body orders beginning on 05/03/10 for no additional charge, so that we cover all bases.

Let me know if anyone has further questions about our new Matte Finish Protection Film.

Yes, it's the Verizon glossy silicone case. If you're having troubles with bubbles, this is what I usually do:

  1. Get the screen protector perfectly aligned
  2. Pull up the screen protector from one end (let's say, from the top) to as far as you can go down
  3. Re-apply the application spray to the backside of the screen protector
  4. Use the squeegee from the bottom and slowly go upwards
This will get most of the liquid out and is much better than picking at it or waiting for it to dry.

Used Zagg on my storm no orange peel, stickness went away after a week protected my phone great, already ordered another one for the INC

FYI, confirmed with Clarivue.

Yes, they are "planning" to ship orders tomorrow.

[Janet] Hello, thank you for contacting Clarivue. This is Janet, how may I help you?
Hi Janet
I can expect you're getting a lot of questions on this.... but...
Re: HTC Droid Incredible Screen Protector
[Janet] Yes?
Site states estimated available date is tomorrow
Can you confirm this?
I don't want to place an order if it won't ship in this timeframe...
[Janet] Yes. We are expecting our shipper to carry them here tomorrow afternoon and everything should go as planned. Unless anything unexpected happens, then yes, it's going to be here (crossing fingers).
Nice.... I know that there's always a chance something could come up... but wanted to confirm this ETA was legit
[Janet] The ETA is legit. :) We wouldn't want to hold the payment where there's no goods, it'd drive everyone nuts
Nice
Any chance you have any ongoing discount codes for early adopters? ;)
[Janet] You're most welcome! let me know if you need anything later on
[Janet] would you mind a 10% off code then?
[Janet] :)
That'd be great
[Janet] The code is: clear123
Can I share w/ others in the AndroidForums.com thread?
[Janet] Most definitely :) I understand it's hard to wait around
MANY others waiting to order this item...
Awesome, cut/paste in a few secs... orders will follow ;) Thanks Janet.
[Janet] You're most welcome :)
Cya.
[Janet] Thank you for contacting Clarivue. Have a great day.

I had the Boxwave Crystal Clear screen protector on my Eris. I had tried several other protectors and this one went on the easiest. I am looking forward to Boxwave coming out with one for the incredible.

For those of you applying screen protectors, here's a hint to minimize dust:

Use your shower!

The humidity from the shower will momentarily clear all dust from the air. Keep the shower on while you do the application and it'll come out picture perfect. Probably shouldn't turn your vent fan on either.

I just installed a Phantom Skin, and I'm hoping the results are more than perfect. It's the first time I've installed a screen protector since my first gen iPod, and it was a Zagg with the orange peel effect, and I promptly took it off. :p

Anyway, I'm hoping this comes out clean in a few hours/tomorrow. I did everything the instructions told me to do, and I'm hoping I did it well!

Not sure, but having used both, I'd say PhantomSkinz is better.
Can you help me with the application of the PhantomSkin? I tried once already, and it looks like there are scratches on the screen protector already. I know I should wait out this cloud effect, but it looks like it's not going to go anywhere.

I'd give it a few days. Although, I've never had it look like scratches. Maybe you were too rough with the application card? Unless it's on the inside, which then it might just need to dry.

Well I can tell you one not to get...
After 9 days of waiting I got my ebay special "3 Clear Screen Protectors for HTC Droid Incredible -WOW" for $4.99 but he took my offer for $2.99 and they are advertised as "Crystal clear clarity" but they went on pretty hazy. You get 3 of them so $1 each. but so far I am not impressed and they may not be worth the $1

I used a screen protector card from another company to get the bubbles out and after doing that the protector was already scratched. Also the hole cutout for the joystick is low. If you leave it on ther e an hour or so the haze goes away some but the scratches seem to stay. I will try it a few days.

I have some Zagg Invisashields but have been waiting to put those on as they seem to be hard for some people to install and I may not like the orange peal.

I was hoping these would work but I think I may try the "Clarivue screen protector for HTC Droid Incredible" as it looked eas to install and get dust out behind from.

That's what I did. I was sweating while applying the cover lol
