Accessories Best Incredible [Full] Screen Protector

This thread is epic...

Anything that requires liquid and squeegees is fail.

Had my Steinheils now for almost six months. One on each Incredible in the household. Best protectors I've ever used.

Its pretty obvious I was just trying to give you some friendly advice having done dozens of these myself. If you understood how to use the card to push the bubbles out then you wouldn't have any bubbles. ;)

I did use the card. I also did it in a steamy bathroom and still had issues with it not even sticking on the corner of one side. Just for you i'll make sure to video tape the next one I put on to make sure it is up to snuff for you.

I feel exactly opposite. Dry application protectors suck IMO. I have yet to find anything i like better, last longer, or cost less, than Xtremeguard protectors.

Film protection is similar to paint protection film used on cars made by several mfg such as 3M, Venture shield and others. All apply with liquid to float the film, then squeege out the liquid and bubbles.

Some film require a bit of warming to remove bubbles and liquid left over, but if done right, films applied in this manner will mostly outlast sticky-back. It all comes down to application and type of films.

If you own a car and don't want stone chipping, do yourself a favor and have it filmed as well. Just as you protect your phone, at least protect your headlights!

I have to agree I am one of the first ones to have done a review on the CC Steinheil back on May 15th http://androidforums.com/incredible-accessories/77996-steinheil-crystal-clear-protector-review.html

I am pretty rough on my cover and I still have the first one I applied, it doesnt have so much as even a tiny scratch on it, it looks exactly like crystal clear glass, I work in the garage with metal, saws, drills etc ... work around the house and dont hesitate, even with dirty hand to use the phone ... I put a wet install Zagg on a friends Moto Droid and I really have to ask why would anyone use one of those? just complete trash, he switched to a CC Steinheil and its a world of difference.

I do and currently have 3M protector film on the front of my truck, which is exactly what that Zagg stuff is (albeit they use a thinner grade), for a car or truck, you cant beat it ... tough install on a vehicle but I have had mine on for going on 3 years and its still perfect, but the orange peel like nature does not make something that would be great for a small glass device (optics).

If you have a good install of a CC Steinheil I can see zero reason why someone wouldn't like it ... it looks and is close to have one naked feeling that can be had imho, its made for optics is probably why, not made for the front of a truck or car.

Your initial review is the reason i got a CC. I thanked your review post on 6/6 and bought one that week. Still on the first one and looks as good as the day i got it. Still got the second one as back-up.

I have also used the Crystal Clear Steinheil since the beginning, and not a scratch, bubble.. no haze. It's still crystal clear. It goes in my purse, in my pocket, my kids play with it with their grubby hands.. It's still perfect. I wouldn't use anything else. You can't even tell it's on...it looks and feels like glass.

I used Zagg for about 5 months. Ended up peeling it off because the texture was just too sticky to use Swype with and it was riddled with imperfections from normal wear, so I applied the free screen protector that came with my Case-Mate Barely There case, and so far it rocks. It's clearer, smoother to touch, and cheap.
