Accessories Best Incredible [Full] Screen Protector

So far, the two I'm most drawn to are the Clarivue and the Boxwave. I think I like the Boxwave best, but the Clarivue is less expensive and you get two (Boxwave you only get 1). I've requested that each notify me when they have the protector available - I'll probably go with whichever one is available first.

I really like that each of these are adhesive-free, liquid-free applications that can be removed, cleaned, and re-applied over and over.

waiting for steinheil...anti fingerprint

Same here. My Incredible showed up yesterday along with the black silicone case and screen protectors. Rather pleased with the silicone case but the Verizon branded screen protectors are a total fail. They work fine but they're just rectangles that provide no more protection than the viewable screen, as if to say it's OK to scratch up by the sensors/speaker grille or down by the capacitive buttons. Absolutely dumb that they weren't cut for the entire continuous surface top to bottom (less the speaker and trackpad cutouts). Some protection is better than none, but I'll be getting the Steinheil ASAP.

Whatever you DONT get the ZAGG screen protector. The material used is very cloudy and sticky to your finger compared to other screen protectors. Plus is has this orange peel texture to it which further reduces clarity. The material used by ZAGG is more for the BODY of the phone not the screen, Dont make the same mistake I made when I bought one for my previous phone. The ZAGG screen protector is junk.

The best screen protectors are the ones with silicon adhesive. These types of protectors have great clarity, are cheap, and easy to apply and remove.

So why is everyone recommending Steinheil over, say, ZAGG Invisible Shield?
ZAGG uses a material which is cloudy and has orange peel effect and does not allow your finger to slide smoothly on it. Its a horrible screen protector. Works great for the body of the phone though. Just dont put it on your screen.

Dunno about others, but when I get my SPG screen, I'm not really getting it to protect the screen from scratches but more just the annoying greasy fingerprints and ear "goobage"/greasiness when your on a call. :)

I've own a BBPearl from June '08 till now and only keep it in my pocket with my wallet. Never any keys, change or anything else. No screen protector and not one even faint scratch/dent/etc. Just wipe it with a sunglasses microcloth every so often!

Anybody know the differences between the Steinheil Anti-Fingerprint and the Crystal? I have an anti-smudge film on my iPod touch right now, and haven't seen a smudge in 3 years. However, It does add graininess to the screen. It's almost a fair trade-off since it never looks dirty. How's the Steinheil's?

cleaned and re-applied? i've used clarivue protectors on every cell i've had for the past few years, and never re-applied any of them...

BTW, can anyone from experience recommend the stenheil over clarivue? i have first-hand experience with clarivue but never used stenheil...

I've had ZAGG on my blackberry in the past and hated it! It was expensive, made the screen dull, and it started coming up on the edges. I will never buy another ZAGG again, but that's just me :)

Why wouldn't the Nexus One Steinheil work for the Droid Inc? Same screen right?

The N1 screen ends where the trackball is and the DInc's screen covers the entire front side of the phone and goes around the optical trackpad.

I emailed SGP today about ETA, and this was their response:

Hello,
Thank you for contacting SGP customer service.
We are expecting it to be in stock in two weeks.

If you have any more questions, please feel free contact our customer service department again at sgpstore.com@gmail.com. Thank you.

So what are you all doing in the mean time to protect the face of this device?

I'm using the Verizon store screen protector that only covers like 80% of the area of the screen. Looks and works fine, I just prefer complete protection for the screen. Scratches irritate me.

Nothing. It's pretty scratch proof imo.

Yep. I don't know what you guy's are smoking but when we received our demo Incredible a week ago, I did a scratch test on the screen. I used my car keys, home keys, it didn't scratch. Only reason logical reason I see anyone to get a screen protector is an anti-glare one. You can ask reps at a store if this is true, but I doubt they'll tell you since they can get an accessory sale from you

Really now...one of the first hands-on reviews for the phone mentioned that it was rather easy to scratch the screen.

Well, if you guy's doubt me, feel free to try yours if you have the guts haha. I did read that review as well saying how theirs scratched easily, but the Incredible has glass with a special coating on it. Anyhow see for yourself :)
