Accessories Best Incredible [Full] Screen Protector

I've heard great things about the Power Support Apple Iphone protector. Assuming its really that great, I could buy the IPAD one for $25 and attempt to cut a few incredible screens out of it. The size if the IPAD I could prob get like 4 - 6 protectors out of it. The hard part would be cutting them to size exactly, but if I can make a template and trace, it prob wouldn't be THAT bad. and plus, I'd get 6 tries to cut it right.

I've just never tried this one so I dont know if its really that great

i have used clarivue on the last three or four phones i've owned, and never had any issues. i'm on the waiting list for the clear ones...

i have the verizon screen protector on for now until the clarivue ones are released.

I just went to Best Buy to buy a Zagg and I had them put it on for me. I needed something to hold me over till I can get a Steinheil. It's actually not that bad! You can barely make out the orange peel when it's off, but when the screen is lit, you can't see it at all. And I don't mind the feel of it, it's only marginally more sticky than my bare screen. It gives me peace of mind, and that is worth it to me.

Maybe that's what I'm referring to when I say it looks like dust under the zagg screen. Is this due to the adhesive they use?

just read: Clarivue Anti-glare screen protector for Droid - Droid Forum - Verizon Droid & the Motorola Droid Forum

leaning towards clarivue right now. I have a feeling i will like the matte finish (similar to a gaming mousepad where i prefer the slightly rough side over the smooth side). Plus, the clarivue comes with 2 protectors for the same price as boxwave. Statically applied and no fingerprints. I think we have a winnar!

Clarivue is actually slightly cheaper because they include shipping - Boxwave doesn't. So with Clarivue you get two, AND it's cheaper.

On Friday I asked Clarivue (via the chat feature on their site) when they expected to have the protectors for the DI available, and she said they were shooting for some time this week. I told her that for me it was down to Clarivue and Boxwave, and that I'd go with whoever had them ready first.

So is concensus that the Clarivue, BoxWave, and Steinheil anti-fingerprint protectors all essentially identical aside from price? Is one actually a better product than the other or are they the same thing?

So the BoxWave is the only one available right now correct? And it's definitely statically "installed"? Just want to make sure before I buy it. Thanks.

According to a post above, they're just taking pre-orders which will be shipped out 5/15. And, yes, it definitely does NOT require liquid application.

Thanks aw1974, I guess considering I've read that the Steinheil is better, and that BoxWave is simply taking pre-orders, I'll wait a little while longer in hopes that the Steinheil comes out soon. If it's not out by the 10th or so, I'll just pre-order/order the BoxWave.

If there's dust under the screen, it has nothing to do with the screen protector. The "orange peel" effect is what the sheen looks like.

Is the SGP scratch resistant? I bought the Verizon three pack as a temporary fix and the first one I used has already been scratched up.

SGP = Boxwave = Clairvu
(atleast for the crystal clear)

Does anyone have any evidence/review/ANYTHING to the contrary? I think claims of SGP being better is just hearsay or rumor, but I would love to be shown otherwise.

I am going with Boxwave because they provide you with the cloth/card and you can get a 3pack for less than $10 each.

All three of these brands will not provide anywhere near the same protection as zagg, but they feel and look 10000% better. From what I gather, they should last 6months to 1 year of heavy use/neglect, but they do scratch.

Has anyone emailed Steinheil to ask if they'll be producing screen protectors for the Droid Inc?

I think I'll head over there to at least request that they start producing them if they haven't already. I will post a link back here once I figure out where the appropriate place to make this request is.

anyone have a 50% off zagg coupon i can use? Id really appreciate a PM with a code. I hope my incredible doesnt get here before my shield arrives!

Clarivue makes verizons for them. it is good but of course has the fatal flaw of not covering entire front surface. if their full coverage piece is like the VZW i got for temporary duty, i will probably buy it.

I bought the ones at VZW and they are great...they are packaged just like the clarivue(would have gotten them sooner had I known). It looks great so I'm set.

I would strongly encourage everyone to use this form to indicate your interest in Incredible screen protectors to Steinheil. If they know people want them, they'll be more likely to make them.

^ I've read a LOT of posts in different places saying how great these screen protectors are. It would be awesome to have them as an option. Take a minute and help out the cause!

Clarivue just responded to my inquiry on Facebook, said their incredible protectors should be available by the end of the week

I got the Skinomi protector coming today or tomorrow.

I'll post a review after I install it.

How did this go for you? I have one. I waited on installation because I was apprehensive after reading the instructions. I got a TON of air bubbles and dirt underneath. I tried putting it on 3 times, after I thought the initial installation was botched on my part (the first was probably my best attempt).. Some parts of it look really good and very invisible but the other parts...:( total fail on my end. At $10 (from Amazon) I might give in and give it another try..

I'll post the uninspiring pics of it..

I installed my Zagg screen last night. Let it sit overnight and I'm very impressed with the results. Very clear, the feel is a bit grippy vs bare screen but that was to be expected. I can still slide my finger across the screen without issue. The "orange peel" effect is not an issue IMO.

Maybe you should give it the 3 day window to fully cure as they suggest until you make your final decision on the out come?
