Root best kernel

I'm running synergy Rom what kernel would be the best to run for overall use and battery life the Rom runs pretty smooth I'm currently on the hdmi kernel and don't really use it much so if anyone could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I'm a huge fan of the Freedom kernels, but a lot of people have great success with Golden Monkey. Try them out, give them a day or two to settle, and see which your phone likes best. There's really no right answer to the question, only what you find to be right for you.

with kernels it is always YRMV. what works for me may not work for you. so just make a nandroid backup and try a kernel. i'm on the aggressive freedom .9 kernel right now. and the results are still not in yet. i usually give it a few days to see how it goes before i move on.

setcpu will work with any custom kernel. the governors in setcpu will depend on the kernel you flash.
