best notepad app for evo

Gtasks sounds like what I want. I'm torn, I really want my notes to back up to my gmail somewhere, or be able to enter them on my PC and have them instantly on my phone. I also don't want to be giving permission to a bunch of apps that could be naughty with my info.

No, but it can back up to SDcard. Colornote doesn't even need network communication, that's how little privileges it asks for.

I use it for to-do lists, after Astrid / RememberTheMillk kept force closing all the time. I love Colornote.

Sounds compelling... will give it a try.

we all know that the evo didnt come with a native notepad app unfortunately especially for people who use there phones for music writing and such when on the go but the android market has damn near everything and i came across ak notepad which is a good app but more then one time the shit deleted a couple tracks......and im done with it any other good notepad apps out there well im looking for the best one to write music on something good like the memo pad in the blackberry or iphone
I recommend AK Notepad or Evernote. AK Notepad comes with a lock feature which requires a pass key to enter the app. Also you can back up your notes to online if you decide to make an account. I like Evernote, but it's more of a reminder app, rather than a note app. If you are looking for something like the iPhone note app, then get AK Notepad. Hope I helped :) Oh and btw: both apps are free!

I've tried just about every one of these apps and Springpad has to be the best that I have used. Great UI, you have the ability to back your info up online, easily customizable, has alarms.. Has absolutely everything I wanted.

I use Note Everything. It was a tossup between keeping that or Springpad, and Note Everything won because the application is a smaller filesize. They both have pretty much the same features i like - gotta have that checklist. I collect apps like mad for various purposes, and the less space an app takes up, the better.

Tried several including color note and settled on Mobisle. Weird name but pretty good note app. Straight forward and easy to use. Syncs with gdocs too.

I like to be able to create, access and edit from either pc or EVO:
Preference is 1 Springpad, 2 Evernote (currently using both).

Slight preference: both have checklists, but I can't get Evernote to checkoff the checklists (i have the current version). Springpad checklist works great on EVO

seems like i have to try this app out also

I use CATCH.

Its got a great widget, SD card backup, password protected, and lets you take notes with pics from your gallery, or snapshot on the spot.

I use Catch and very happy with it. I need to be able to read my notes when I don't have a connection and this just works.

Ditched Evernote because of lack of offline support...

Started using mynotes. It syncs with dropbox which also syncs with my mac and ipad. Has a reminder function and is a really simple app

Trying to decide on which of the note apps that have been posted is best for me. The one thing I loved about my Windows Mobile phone before was being able to sync my Notes to Outlook.

I'd love to have something similar that can Sync up OTA, so if I updated a note online, it'd update on my phone. Does anybody know if there's a note app like this that exists? TIA

There are many that sync. There's Catch, and Google Docs and Evernote and Springpad and ...

I don't know of any that sync with Outlook, but there may be one.

I was looking at Catch as a possibility. Where or what does that sync up to online?
