Root Best ROM?

Hi everybody

I finally got an EVO off craigslist for $125.00 :D So I'm putting my little faithful Hero aside and moving on

I've had it for a day and am already feeling overdue to tune it up
what seems to be be the consensus as to the best ROM with a good mix of speed and stability

I've been running aosGBMod on the hero - gave up sense a while ago and have never looked back

I look forward to hanging out in here and getting to learn a new
(2 me) phone and making new friends

Peace

If you're down with aosp roms try out King's Unleashed GB-R2. I've been running it for a few weeks and it's a pretty nice rom. Remember to do the gps fix before you leave your sense rom... (##gpsclrx#)

Do you have any more information on this GPS fix? I would like to learn more about it.

Thank You

Make a Nandroid of your current GB ROM setup.
Boot into recovery and perform a full wipe (or use Calkulin Format ALL zip)
Flash any Sense ROM
Open the Market and download MSL Reader, write down MSL.
Open Dialer/Phone and type ##4118513# (##GPSCLRX#)
When it asks you for a password type in your MSL
Reboot phone
BE OUTSIDE
Turn on GPS and open Maps, allow it to fully lock your location (may take a few minutes, do not just wait for initial lock).
Leave GPS on
Turn off phone, reboot into recovery.
Nandroid restore your GB ROM backup

I believe those are the steps to the fix that he was referring to. The above was posted to fix the GPS for CM7, but I believe the instructions are the exact same for King's. Also since you are new to the Evo, I should note that the Calkulin Format ALL zip referenced above is just a wipe to do a complete wipe on your phone. You can do the same thing in recovery, but many people believe the format all zip is more comprehensive.

Here is the link to King's ROM as well:
