Best Screen Protector?

Hello everyone,
I was just wondering what the best screen protector is for the TB? I've heard much about Steinheil, but was wondering if there's any other recommendations people have. Is Steinheil worth the price?

I personally like using the ZAGG screen protector...it covers the full screen and is lifetime warrantied, you can pick it up at best buy...i get them for every phone ive had and it works fine...

ClearTouch™ Anti-Glare - HTC Thunderbolt

The reason why I buy these protectors? Washable and Reusable...once protector gets too oily you can peel it off, throw some water and soap on it, rinse, then let it dry for 10-15 minutes. Slap on the protector and it will stick like brand new all over again.

There's really no "best" screen protector, IMO. They are all good and each provide something the other doesn't. It basically comes down to personal preference. I like zagg's, but many do not. SGP and ghost armor are also popular options.

I agree. I have these: lcd-protectors | eBay

Dirt cheap, but they do the job nicely. They are absolutely crystal clear, no screen distortion, and no sticky feeling. Plus, no water needed for install. ;) You really can't even tell it's on. It feels like glass.

All I know is that the cheapie Verizon ones are okay, they are for the TB, but not full glass covers. For the cost they are pretty good, I just swear the screen response drops with them.

I have to get off the fence and decide which of the good ones to use.

I've always had great luck with PhantonSkinz. Used they on the past 4 or 5 devices I've had - never had an issue. They also have a lifetime warranty and are quick to replace any protector you have problems with. Great customer service.

Had the zagg on my OG and it worked great but also had an orange peel look and was pretty thick, I assume its about the same on the tb. I now have the the really cheap "crystal" clear ones from amazon and they scratch very easily, they do not have a precise fit but I guess you get what you pay for since I did get a 3 pack for around $4. You will get a much better fit with a screen protector that needs water and a squeegee since you can clean it up and re adjust it until its perfect.

Well, just posted this info in another thread so I guess I will do so on this one as well.

I purchased the "Splash Masque Screen Protector Film Clear (Invisible)" from Amazon. They fit the entire screen including the bottom buttons. Good fit and smooth feel.

They do not however cut down on glare. The textured ones are best for that but I don't like how they look and feel.

steinheil ultra clear all the way. i've used most of all before and i always go back to these. doesn't have that rubbery feel that zagg has and you can't tell it's there.

Do the Steinheils need water or some sort of solution to put on? I'd rather have a "dry application" type.

no water needed. got mine. Be careful when installing and really clean screen. got a couple dust particles on screen before getting the shield on. But, these ARE finger-print magnets and they really pick up skin oils from your face when you use the phone for calls. I may try something else, just so many recommendations - which one?!

Using steinheil ultrafine....I really like it so far. Does a great job of not picking up fingerprints. Also like the feel. Yes the steinheil ones cover the buttons at the bottom.

See my post above. The ultrafine is great for fingerprint repelling but its not quite as clear. I don't mind it....but others will argue.

Can any of you guys with the ultrafine post a pic to compare the clarity? I have the SGP Oleophobic, and the only thing I don't like about it is that it has a slight drag when sliding your finger across the screen, not horrible, but not glass-like either. Any recommendations?

I just put a SGP Steinheil crystal clear on my bolt. It's not sticky and it does not distort the screen.

I just put the ultra clear Steinheil on. You cannot tell there's a s/p on there. I thought I had messed the application up!

I had to take a magnifying glass to the edges to see the demarcation!

The screen feels slightly different, but I notice no difference in the capacitative touch screen.

WIN. Now if only my case would get here!

ETA: LOVE the Steinheil, but as someone else pointed out, if you don't use the microfiber cloth it came with, it seems to smear any oil around instead of cleaning it. Does anyone know where I can get replacements for the Steinheil microfiber cloths? TY!
