Root Best themeing guide for noobs?

[windsorclarenc]

I've found about 10 different guides for theme-ing. Some are similar to others, but some are WAAAAY different. Some link me to others. So my brain is kinda overwhelmed. I'm not sure which guide to follow or which ones require more know-how than I have. The main 2 things I want to theme first are Google Music and framework-res.apk. I might skip the latter until I have more experience. I think 1 or both of them require signing? I don't know what signing is really, or what apps require it. Pretty much all I know is how to unzip an apk and find the image files. And I can edit them of course, but after that I'm lost.

Soooooo, which guide would be best for me being a noob? Can anybody give me a link?

Hopefully Granite can step in here and fill the void. He sent me a few pretty good links a few months back.

What's Granite's full user name? I've seen him around and thought it was Granite1 or something like that?
