New Triumph ROM is the best one yet. You must check out this new ROM. Ported by 'BSyds' from Sharp Froyo 2.2.2. Eliminates FCs, fast, smooth, responsive touch screen, camera, WIFI, Bluetooth, GPS...everything works! Thanks to 'Bsyds' I feel like someone stole my phone and replaced it with a better one! I have tried at least 8 other ROMs and this one blows them all away. Better then CM7, MIUI or CM9 look for it hear, http://androidforums.com/triumph-al...exed-sharp-2-2-2-triumph-mms-now-working.html

Theoretically this should be in All Things Root, but this is too important a fix. I believe this needs to be on the main forum.

I had been bouncing back and forth between Cyan 7 and 9, but have made the Sharp ROM home now.

A big sticky title like RESOLVES GPS ISSUE!!!

TM Pullen. is absolutely right. Its like a new phone. everything works really great!!! GSPS in 5 Sec, camera, absolutely smooth (smoother then CM7 and CM9 for me) i've gone through all of the ROMS and this one is absolutely great. Battery life is amazzzzzing too!!! Give it a try guys.

Ill probly test it as I test most roms posted here, but I doubt it would pull me from cm7 lol Haa, but then again I've never had issues with volume, GPS, battery or camera on any roms

Agreed it's a great ROM. I flashed it yesterday. Only thing I don't care for is the old school Froyo look, launcher, and the install/patch process. :(

But it is very fast and smooth, and fixes the GPS.

I tried changing out some of the stuff in the drawables of the framework folder to give it a sexier look, but it wouldn't boot. Only place I'm able to get help or acknowledgement with that kind of stuff is the XDA forums, but I know it's only a matter of time before this ROM gets themed. I don't see why else it would be deodexed.

Hey Everyone, big newbie here... A wild hair crept up and I installed Metallic Chaos today. Everything so far works great but then I saw your posts here. I'm looking for opinions I guess. Sorry I'm tired, just had a kid a week ago and exhausted. Do you think I should revert back to Sharp ? I guess I could always do it just to try different things eh? Didn't seem like changing desktop and downloading all old apps was that difficult. Anyway, thanks for reading my less that focused post, hehe. I need a nap, about a 10 hour nap, too bad that will not happen for awhile now.

Yeah the intall process is a pain. I'll work on that I just need some time to see what I did between updates that broke the fresh install boot.

That is exactly why I released it as deodexed. If you just want to theme the status bar and system stuff just grab the carrier fix and then mod it, then flash it. I know everybody hates froyo... yada yada yada. I'll make a MOD for that. :D I'll get the icons from the Sharp 2.3.5 and put it together tomorrow.

Idk about going back or not, that would be your decicion

But about installing them again, I'd say you should make.a nandroid backup of each rom u install, and I like to pull them to my desktop PC for safe keeping, you can put them in labeled folders so u know what's what, then u don't have to fresh install each time, I'll just have to restore the backups

I've tried all the CM7's, then tried this for kicks. So far my phone has never been so stable or smooth. Gps locks in seconds, everything works like it should. There's some glitch with a few apps that use gps (like foursquare), but most work fine. I think it'll be tweeked some more over the next week or so, and if things don't go backwards this is where ill end up staying

Whoa now. No ETAs allowed. :p Just kidding, but seriously, I may have gotten a superman tattoo with a B in it when I was 12, but things still take time. :D I'll never let it go backwards as long as I can help it.

Don't care if it's Froyo. Looks sharp and runs smooth. It has the most working features that I thought I was getting when I bought the phone. Saved me from an upgrade. Fully tested and loving. I hope there is something about this ROM that can help with other ROMs at least with GPS. cause mine is almost instant now. Choosing a ROM is a matter of preference... balance or performance. I wish we could have it all.

lol, I was just going off of previous experience, things seem to go fast at first, then slow up. I love my phone now. Great job :-)

Try the Sensified version.

I imagine the touch issues are hardware related and not resolved with this?

all roms seem to have touch issues at some point, pretty sure its one of the areas where the source code wasent released, so dev's play with it and make lil tweaks and workaround to make it play nice, and in alot of roms youll probly see them say whyzors touchscreen drivers, im pretty sure those are the best we got right now and sometimes they act a lil wonky for a bit
