Best weather app

Sorry if this has been asked a thousand times before, but which weather app gives one the best bang for the buck? I have the paid version of Weatherbug, but I cannot find it on Google Play anymore and wonder if it is still supported? I am looking for something that has its own clock widget as well as audiable alerts for severe weather, any ideas?

The free Accuweather 4X2 has a clock, gives the weather and the underlying app (widgets are screen representations of apps running in the background) gives some weather alerts. (The only ones we've gotten here are tornadoes, snow, flooding and cold. I don't know what other ones it alerts on.)

Try WeatherBuf (Free) or WeatherBug Elite ($). Also Raindar show weather radar maps for the area where you are currently located.

Wunderground pinpoints locally very well. One drawback is that it doesn't give serve weather alerts in the notifications. Hopefully that is something they change.

I use eWeather HD, because I like it's graphing of the daily and 10 day temperature predictions, as well as being able to use specific weather station data. It also has radar and earthquake info, although I don't really ever use the earthquake stuff (I use Earthquake Alert! instead).

I have a different approach

I forgot to say... that widget the way I have it set up is missing some features you might be used to.

It links to weather at my home location. It isn't smart enough to follow my location. When I travel, I think I should be able to set up to link to a particular google page showing weather at my CURRENT location (as seen by the phone). After all I can ask google for weather at my current location and it does fine. I haven't tried to put that into websnap widget yet.

It also doesn't give weather alerts (of course). I have local weather alerts SMS'd to me through IFTTT

Weather Underground. The new app is really a weather site. The Weather Channel bought WU last year primarily for their advanced web and graphic technology. I have been a weather station on WU for 9 or 10 years and they are great to deal with. WU reports stations that are localized to your location. Most weather sites are just generic in they they use the weather stations at a local airport. WU by using independent weather stations in a region can best show anomalies of local climate.

I've used the WU classic site on my PC for years. I note on the Play store there is a WU app and a WU beta app. Which do you use?

Edit: I note the beta version is an older version. Nevermind.

Thank you all for your help! I think I will try 1Weather, as it also has the ability to flash the notification LED when severe weather is detected. A nice feature when someone has to keep their phone muted all day :(

The problem with threads like this is that I like to experiment with multiple apps to see what I like the best. Each app has features that I like. So now I have 4 or 5 weather apps running on my GS4.

Same with keyboard apps. At one time I had 13 keyboards loaded.

Well thank you very much. :D

Now on to the next "best" app....

I've tried a lot of them and for a while I using The Weather Channel app but that stopped working for me then I tried Weatherbug. That one started giving me issues so now I am using Accuweather and like it a lot. We are supposed to be getting some snow tonight so I'll be able to see how accurate it is in forecasting it.
