Best Web Browser?

Boat......and its not even close
Chrome is HORRIBLE
Opera really sucks....I mean it worked great on my old dumbphone
Dolphin uses too many resources and uses too many add ons

Just when the AOSP was perfected google killed it

Boat is easily the best browser. I gladly bought the paid version.

I've used many browsers, mainly as a way to access some content that wasn't supported in the chrome browser, but chrome is by far my favourite, esp with its simple syncing with chrome on my other devices.

I really love what Opera has done with their new browser. If they would just add a swipe to change tabs function, I would use it as my DD. Why is it that only Chrome has adopted this function? I mean it sounds like common sense, swipe to change tabs and eliminate that one extra key press. So much easier IMO.

Too me Dolphin is the quickest by far. but plug ins are basically apps. its weird.
I like Chrome b/c google lover plus sync.
Firefox kept reacting slow. But the plug ins are AMAZING on my PC. But i dont think mobile firefox can achieve what PC firefox can with plug ins. Can i d/l youtube and soundcloud with mobile firefox? And how do i sync?

The above is evidence of why "personal preferences differ" and "Choice Is Good" should be in everybody's mind before posting an extreme opinion as though it was a statement of fact :-)

While I don't find any browser "horrible" I certainly put Boat below Chrome in my list of favourites. I was a diehard Firefox user on desktop machines but found it pretty awful for my uses on Android - and I need the ability to sync. I tried Chrome for the first time on my desktop PC and was immediately impressed when it imported all my Firefox data (including passwords) and "just worked" - and faster than Firefox on the same platform.

I now use Chrome (or Chromium in some cases) on all devices and platforms and can't imagine going back not having instant access to current bookmarks, recent tabs, passwords, form-filling data, ... on all devices no matter which one was used to make the change. It's a huge productivity advantage for me.

That said, having now used Chrome/Chromium for some months I'd still choose it even without the advantage of sync, it mostly does the things I want in the way I want to do them, unlike most others that force me to go through hoops to do simple things, or clutter the interface with controls and/or menus.

Oh - did I mention I like Chrome? :-)

Same here, Chrome preferred everywhere. However, I use XMarks/Lastpass for cross platform/cross browser bookmark/password sync. This since I still must use FireFox and IE (I'm a web developer) at times to test on.

After trying Maxthon i gotta tell ya this browser is pretty good! They have really nailed the full screen ui! Too bad it doesn't have that magnifying feature for more precise navigation.

Ok so you're a fan of chrome.
Meanwhile it's a matter of fact that other browsers possess more functionality, more customization, are much more user friendly, are developed and improved at a much faster rate, and also use less ram, are much faster in general AND use less battery.

This isn't my opinion. There are a small handful of browsers much much better than Chrome, of which you oddly cling to.

Chrome is the exact opposite of what Android is and what it represents.

The day the two merge I'll pick up a Windows phone or a Blackberry Z10 like phone if they are alive at that point.

Okay so you're not a fan of chrome. We get it.

I don't claim it's the best browser in every aspect, but it's my preferred one on every platform that's for sure. If for no other reason the uniform sync and experience. I can bookmark a page on my laptop and right away pull out my phone and continue reading as I leave the building. It's blazing fast on the PC and good enough on the Nexus 4 that I can't really complain. I'm running Chrome Beta for Android btw.

In my opinion, it depends on which phone, android version (ics, jb or custom) and carrier as to the better performing browser is thats why I use dolphin as my reg because i've used it for so long and know it's features. I also have firefox for the amount of plugins available. And chrome I don't know why but if I need space on my drive it's first to go using more mb's than dol/ff combined. For speed I think they all slow down after using it for awhile. So use what you feel comfortable with and have a couple for the features you need.

Another vote for Dolphin. However more recently I've begun using Chrome, mainly to access tabs on my computer

I use Dolphin to realize this.
I have installed the extension Dolphin Connect in Chrome on my PC.
The webpage can be easily sent between my PC and phone via Dolphin Connect.

Have you tried this?
:)

That sounds interesting I'll check it out. I use chrome but some times it has trouble with certain sites so I have dolphin as a back up and the stock one is still there. I need to cut down

I tend to mostly use boat. I really like chrome, but I find how it manages desktop vs mobile sites to be rather tedious. Plus boat is rather lean in size.
