better picture quality caller ID ?

pRuben

Newbie
so far my picture ID stinks. It looks like its been blown up or jpg decompressed to 5%. Is there a way to have them being dispalyed all nice and clear ? SOme of the caller ID are pulled of form FB profile account and some of them are from the phone itself...

is that normal ?

Depending on the size of the picture you are going to set for your contacts ID depends on how Fuzzy it ends up when you get a call from them. And how small or large you you make the ID image when chosing which part of the image to make their ID Photo.

If you have a LARGE MegaPixle image, the ID won't be as fuzzy.

But in all, it's going to be fuzzy regardless. It is quite annoying.

really annoying indeed. I wonder why HTC didn't think of that ?? Wouldn't it be one of the most used features on the phone ? It is a PHONE after all.

I am using a pretty large picture take from a DSLR for one of my contacts and it still pretty fuzzy.

Yeah but if its let say a 1600 x 1080 or so res picture, wouldn't one think that if the picture got cropped/resized that it would still be clear and not fuzzy?

Crazy how far we've come in cell phone tech. and yet little simple stuff like a pic ID is still not corrected.
:P
oh well... a small price to pay for such a great phone!

Any ideas to improve photo quality, cause even the photo used from the camera phone comes out fuzzy/blurry.

You would think so ... but it gets fuzzy when the phone re-sizes it to 200x200. I did test the theory tonight, and I can say that a 200x200px photo still gets blurry.

What can we do to not make it fuzzy?

I have no idea
