Root Better Rooting Method Incoming.

If I read that right he just used our root method on another phone? Hopefully I read it wrong and we have something soon :)
 
From what I read on the xda forum, he was basically doing to his N1 what everyone is attempting to do to the DInc for root right now.

So...not really anything new :(
 
Looks legit on XDA. Booker-T worked on the same method for the N1 but gives credit to The UnrEVOked Team
 
This isn't a new method of root for the incredible. all he did was use the incredible root method to root a nexus in a way that wouldn't void warranties which is clearly stated in the article. This means nothing to us.

Ditto. And in my excitement to have finally rooted, I shot my load too soon and closed out of adb recovery before uninstalling the bloatware. Now I can't get back in. Shit, I honestly do not know what the hell I did that worked the time it did. I know I wrestled with every technique posted with the native SanDisk card to no avail. Then when I finally caved, bought, and tried the PNY 4GB card, it rooted right away. But again, like a virgin giddily shocked that he's finally getting laid, I paid no attention to what the hell I had just done to get into recovery.

It's about the Nexus One. Not the Dinc.

um actually he's right and if anyone else had bother to read the article you would agree. IT SAYS NOTHING ABOUT AN EASIER METHOD TO ROOTING THE INCREDIBLE. even the little clip you posted says all he did was use the incredible root method (the same one we have all been trying for a long time now) to root a nexus one without unlocking the bootloader, which would void the warranty. obviously the main point of the article was that the original nexus one root method was unlocking their bootloaders, which puts an irremovable icon on the boot screen, meaning warranties on their phone was void because phone carriers could tell it was rooted. since using OUR method of rooting, it DIDN'T unlock the bootloader and kept the icon from showing up on the boot screen, and ultimately saving warranties while achieving root.
This thread was worthless, someone please delete it already before more people are mislead.
