BGR: GNEX users "Plagued" by reboots

Just to contribute...

I'm getting more and more reboots now. I'd say in the first month I had 3 reboots or so. (maybe 2 at random and 1 or maybe 2 while using Navigation) But just within the last 2 or 3 days I've had a considerable amount. Maybe 2 or even 3 a day. But not just reboots but power downs too. They actually usually happen when the phone is sitting idle. I just look over and there it is, rebooting. Or Perhaps more annoying I've had 3 or so power downs. I have the phone in my pocket or just sitting on my desk, go to turn on the screen and it turns out the phone was shut off. SUPER annoying!

Same here, 1 or 2 reboots in the first month. 3 or so per week since.

I had 2 yesterday after a few weeks without any. The second one happened while the room was dark and I noticed that the phone didn't turn off and reboot right away, the screen just turned black for 4-5 seconds then it shut off and restarted. No idea what that means.

Maybe it's like concussions for people, the more you get then the more you get.

This phone sucks..power cycling off and on or just off is unacceptable...im going in to hook my 4s back up..i need every app i have on these phones and neef my phone to wirk...like my 4s does...wat other phone can do that on verizon?

I have lightflow 4.0.2 installed and haven't had one reboot. Only issue I've had so far is one day my buttons disappeared

This is scary.

I've ignored this thread cuz I haven't had this problem...but I've only had my phone for a month....

I pray this doesn't come to fruition....the 3G/4G handoff issue is my only complaint, and I've been fortunate enough that that doesn't happen consistently....but I'm not sure I could take random reboots, smh

As previously stated in the thread, I did have these reboots on 4.0.2, but since I've updated to 4.0.4, I haven't had a single reboot issue.

My hope is that the update has permanently fixed this.

Count me in as one who didn't see on for the first three weeks and now am seeing 3 per week it seems.

I would definitely say these are plagued.

Random reboots/rebooting on my Gnexus from stock to custom roms I've had none, no freezing or one even. The phone is not perfect by any means but I haven't seen rebooting issues the dual core shouldn't strain on background process damaged hardware possibly the problem the Gnexus is a well built device truly enjoy pps.

Phone is stock and reboots maybe once every 2 weeks, usually while I am typing fast. On the annoying factor I'll give it a 3/10

I haven't had a random reboot on my Gnexus though I did have a issue using the wifi tether apk the screen wouldn't come on after heavy use. I did a battery pull and upon trying to turn the Gnexus on it wouldn't turn on, I pulled the battery again waited ten seconds and the Gnexus fired up no issues upon the boot up or after etc..

I have a launch day device.
It will randomly reboot several times per week on average.
There are much bigger annoyances with this device however.

I'm starting to think that this isn't a Galaxy Nexus issue but an ICS issue. I've had an Asus Transformer for almost 2 months and never had one reboot. Yesterday I received the ICS upgrade and had 2 reboots in the last 24 hours.
