Big Brother is watching

News flash, if you use a computer they know everything about you. Cant see how the NSA thing is somehow worse than their knowing the GPS location of every OnStar equipped Cadillac, or credit card companies having your social security number. Or internet sites knowing your billing info...

Hell they can probably track you via your microchipped pet, sure wouldn't put it past them

slippery slope man. If we lose our freedom what's really worth defending anymore.

Plus this NSA thing is all carriers and home phones as well as cellphones.

and I was hoping we were special :(

It looks like nobody cares about our privacy rights, guns, and the list goes on. Well I'm one that does care. We need to flood the white house, our senators with calls about this invasion of privacy!

Perhaps you should also live in a cave without phone, TV, or anything. Because as long as you enjoy modern conveniences they are aware of your every move, been that way for a long time.that sadly won't be changing anytime soon. I used to be that way, big on privacy, even had an old "unsupported" non e911 supported cell phone on Page Plus (Verizon) because I refused to use a GPS equipped phone which they kept trying to force down my throat. But when I figured out they have been tracking me via my laptop IP address, know every phone call I made, and my job having GPS taddlers installed in the work trucks, I realized how pointless worrying about GPS enabled cell phones was.

And listening. I'm with Vzw and have downloaded several apps to record calls. Everyone says the same something like "this app can't be downloaded, already a service recording"!! I was sure to uninstall each app before downloading another. Has anyone else experienced this? If not heads up!

That might be the sign of a virus, it's almost certainly not your carrier or the NSA: they would capture your calls as they go across the network rather than on your phone because .. it's easier: the call is going through their computers anyway, why mess around with apps that save recordings on the phone that you then have to get off?

And, I would like to add, we can do nothing about it.:)

Given the fact the Supreme Court has decided not to do anything about it, the only way to get things changed would be via .. politicians!

OMG! We're all DOOMED

The NSA claims it only collects internet communications which crosses US borders.

Internet traffic can go via satellite whether the source is domestic or international.

The source and the destination are known, but not the route.

Email senders can use a proxy server located anywhere in the world and it will appear that that server is the source.

Therefore NSA and private contractors collects all internet traffic, be it by US citizens or otherwise.

Don't tick off the government nor its private contractors as they have enough information on you to make life very difficult.

The govt says lots of funny things

FISA court found NSA spying program unconstitutional in 2011 | United Liberty | Free Market - Individual Liberty - Limited Government

Thanks to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request by the Electronic Fronter Foundation (EFF), the Obama Administration released an October 2011 FISA court opinion determining that the National Security Agency (NSA) violated the Fourth Amendment through one of its surveillance programs:
The Obama administration has given up more of its surveillance secrets, acknowledging that it was ordered to stop scooping up thousands of Internet communications from Americans with no connection to terrorism
