Bing NOT replaceable

The forced Bing is starting to seem like a real issue. I have a Dinc but would really like the bigger display. Started using Bing to see what its like and its not all that good. Pretty bad interface too. Kind of hard to read.

Would going with a 3rd party browser fix any of this (besides the soft key issue)? I mean can you dedicate the search from the browser to Google??

You can set Google as a bookmark, or go to Google.com and type in there. If you use the voice search tho, it will just show Bing results.

Do a search for, lets say "How big is the sun?" in Bing, then search the same on Google, and compare. Check images also on the same comparison. You will see the difference. Bing is just terrible.

I think its more of a samsung/verizon corroboration that produced this bing situation. I don't see motorola or htc doing this with there high end devices. Also, does the dedicated search button still search the phone for contacts, apps, etc or does it go straight to the web.

Who said this device has Google Navigation? That chart compares features of a Google version and this warped effort of ripping consumers off. You have to use Verzon navigator (at leats that is what VZW wants you to do)- does that not cost $10 a month compared to free for Google Nav?

Some of you folks are going to be a tad surprised. I am, since never would have thought VZW would screw this device up. Wow.

No other Galaxy device has Bing and apparently VZW is working with MS. It is a warped relationship:

MS and VZW on an Android device, Vs iPhone and At&t. Very sad. This Bing thing will easily cut sales of this device by one third. Android users will see through this from a loooooong way.

You can DL google maps/nav from the market for free. (this has been confirmed and is in the official manual)
