Root BlissPop-v4.0.1-x5-UNOFFICIAL

How interesting, I hit a bug and I couldn't make a logcat because I couldn't start adb. I was starting from scratch after issues with keeping the Link2SD setup from CM11 and I got into a "checking connection" stall in the setup wizard. If you flash gapps right after flashing the rom, gapps triggers the first boot setup wizard which fails at "checking connection" and doesn't let you go anywhere. However if you boot in to the rom at least once before flashing any gapps package it does not trigger any setup wizard.

For some reason my GPS is not working when I flashed the 3.7 update. Does anybody have a fix for this?!?! It worked fine for 3.5

I don't know what I did I wipe cache and everything.

Phone was laggy as shit and my 4g lte would go out randomly and I would have to restart the phone snapchat is laggy also.

So I made a total rookie mistake the other night while half asleep and testing out v3.7 (which is amazing btw) - I'm almost embarrassed to put this in writing but here goes - I flashed an add-on I accidentally downloaded with several others that didn't go with my device (CM Bacon Modem zip) and before I could stop my swipe to confirm reflex kicked in and I flashed it. Obviously when I saw "OnePlus" amongst the scripting text I knew I was in trouble. Then, the real screw-up of 2015 happened - Instead of pausing to fix my mistake I automatically hit reboot system ☺ And now I'm the not-so-proud owner of an LG Volt Brick Edition. No revovery/download mode, absolutely no sign of life since. Is this the end of the line for my beloved LS740? Any ideas are greatly appreciated and you may now commence with the mocking...

If you have the zip you flashed still could you link me to it? I will try to find what partitions you may need to replace

I would use this rom all the time but i use youtube alot and i cant stand 360p videos. Its a fantastic rom but until HQ videos are fixed im sticking with the stock rom

Yeah the Snapchat and vine video playback is not working. Not to big of a issue for me to flash back to 3.6, but that's not the same for most people. Buy still an awesome update, almost no freezes or random reboots sinced I flash it about a week ago. But can anybody explain how the video playback most likely stop working, not that it bothers me, just wondering how it could have happened.

Thatd probably be my fault, im constantly editing some parts of the dev & vendor trees. Sorry testing a new build now so far all videos work, adb fixed, lte more stable, but lost sound. Should be pretty colse to take out of beta stage soon.

Wow,that would be great. Thanks for all the hard work you done with this one and all other ones:). I would donate if i could ,but I'm only in high school and jobless:(. But that's awesome, thanks for the quick response and explanation for that. But this ROM stable would be even more fantastic than it already is. I'm a complete rookie in terms of how you build Roms, etc. I just know basic flashing and stuff like that. But thanks again for the explanation and more importantly the ROM, you're doing great!!!I love it!!

Unfortunately I erased everything on that sd card for use on another device. Looked around and couldn't locate the one I downloaded (followed the add-ons link in the BlissPop settings menu that had download links for Xposed, Partition Fixer, some superhero themes, aroma fm, etc. Downloaded and installed everything either direct to my Volt or my SG Tab, then did an SD card swap to flash and that's how I managed to accidentally download a zip I didn't need. Damn tiny touchscreens/fat fingers ) I've been tied up since and haven't had a chance to try your suggestions but will soon. I appreciate you taking the time to help me out and I really appreciate your hard work on the best rom I've had the pleasure of using. Definitely would love to work my way up to this type of know-how someday and if nothing else I'll chalk it up as a learning experience If you ever get into the mentoring wayward Android users racket, I'd be happy as hell to learn whatever I can from you. Keep up the excellent work

Should it take a while to boot on the first boot?

Tk gapps. I have the file saved on my SD card, if you PM me your email I can send it to you

Should it take a while to boot on the first boot?

Yes, that's normal. Honestly, there have been a few times where my phone did not fully boot up the first time, got stuck on boot screen, until I pulled the battery. Then it boot up just fine forevermore.

For some reason my GPS is not working when I flashed the 3.7 update. Does anybody have a fix for this?!?! It worked fine for 3.5

I too have lost GPS, got it working before I flashed and right after I flashed but a day later it stopped working.

Potential GPS fix for BlissPop v3.7 ROM 7/22/2015, not tested anywhere else. Copying over the gps.conf file from the ZV5 stock ROM seems to have restored GPS functions. I thought maybe the different GPS bin links vs stock was to blame but I'm not 100% sure. I attached the ZV5 stock gps.conf to this post to save people some time. Just download, rename to gps.conf, and copy to /system/etc replacing the existing one. Make sure the user and group of the file is set to root and it has -rw-r--r-- (0644) permissions, then reboot.
