Help Blown Speaker?

I'm not exactly sure if this would be considered to be a blown speaker, but when I play music or if the phone makes any sound, it makes some kind of staticky sound now... very staticky. I did play music one step down from the loudest volume before... is that the cause of it?

Any easy solutions to this problem? I have Asurion insurance, but I don't know if they cover stuff like this.

What would I do with my current phone? It's usable but I am not going to keep it if it's going to stay like this.
