Root Blue screen when restarting

What do you mean give me a choice,it says guide for froyo 2.2.1

when you go through the now amazingly simple guide there will be a point where you choose between stock froyo rooted and velocity 1. just a matter of entering 1 or 2.

Okay so im still awaiting for my phone, and i heard that using Amon Ra recovery is better than Clockwordmod recovery. Is that true ? if so how can i get it.

the guide will also install amonra recovery for you with either stock or velocity. other easy option would be to flash clockwork from ROM manager THEN down at the bottom there is an option to Flash alt. recovery and you can do it that way however there is NO need if using the guide.

and to boot into recovery you can power off and hold end+menu+send, or via adb or terminal in your phone "reboot recovery" and its in the velocity "hold end" power menu.

I see,so that guide death2all110 provided me with will give me the option then. That sounds easier to do. And if i do the guide i will have amonra recovery and need nothing else correct? Just follow the guide and i have everything.

I heard that velocity is fast, can i still download SetCPU from the android market or would there be no need for that with velocity?

yes that guide will do it all. root, recovery, and ROM if you wish. heads up you MAY need to use deaths LGNPST method to downgrade. i had to the second time but LGMU worked the first time.
no need to buy setcpu the velcity script can be used to overclock and MUCH more (though not as many options as setcpu for OC) i find it more convenient even though i had bought setcpu i use the script. if i was you i would read through the velocity script thread as it can do ALOT for you
http://androidforums.com/velocity/287300-velocity-script.html
also anytime you are going to make a "root" related change. first MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP.

So im guessing at "CPU tools" you can increase the Mghz of the phone? For a faster processor.?
Okay and what exactly is "overclock"?

Im not sure what "root" changes i will make because i am new to this.
So to make a nandroid backup i will need SPRecovery?

Overclocking pretty much just makes the wheels turn faster. its speeding up you CPU and to make a nandroid backup you will use amonra recovery that the guide will put on the phone for you. most of what you will learn will be from trial and error. thats why you always make sure to have an up to date backup. read around and SEARCH about and youu find most of your questions have been answered before.

Oh alright that sounds like SetCPU making it run faster. So i just got my phone right now. LG ally mailed to me. I will follow the steps from that guide and do nothing else but the guide and i should be running good correct? I will set the nandroid recovery and overclock the phone to speed it up and thats about it.

that sounds safe. and its exactly what setcpu does. just isntead of an app doing it. its the velocity script. you can also change themes and such from there too. good luck.

My stuff is runnin' pretty tight lately. However, I'm having issues with my recovery mode and just getting into recovery. I have rom manager premium(cool when it works...w ich is rare). No matter what recovery = try I get that stupid fastboot bluescreen and have to do battery pull! I've flashed clockwork, amonra 1.2.5 zip, tried quickboot app, phone+menu+end an get same bluescreen!

I mean, my phone is working okay but this recovery thing is really buggin' me! Any help or advice greatly appreciated. ---Rock on!
