Root Blue screen when restarting

OK so i have a rooted ally with GNM_TURBO_4 but i want the new LG Ally Kernel 2.6.29.6_GNM_OC so i put it on my sd card like i did with GNM_TURBO_4 before. Now i go into rom manager to go into recovery mode and when it gets to rec mode it displays a blue screen! whats going on? i want this kernel so i can get velocity .4 and netfinder so the tether app will work (I HATE BARNACLE, its a battery sucker). any ideas whats going on? P.S. whats the latest ally kernel and rom that work together with what i said anyway? i don't even know if those are the newest.

Your recovery did not take, reflash your recovery and try again.
 
My phone just keeps restarting after i tried installing LG Ally Kernel 2.6.29.6_GNM_OC and Velocity 0.4 on my phone. The LED light turns blue and it just restarted the "Verizon Wireless Screen" do you know the problem by any chance?
 
Now it just keeps restarting over and over and just takes me to the "hard reset" mode for my phone..i tried installing the .zip file from there velocity.4 and nothing happens just restarts..

Were you on 2.2 before trying to flash velocity 0.4? What recovery are you using?
 
Yes i was on 2.2.1 version. Not Froyo.
I installed ROM manager and i rooted the phone with "SuperOneClick"
then i put velocity .4 and the kernel in the SD card so i went to ROM manager and flashhed it then booted into recovery but it booted into recovery from the Phones recovery not clockwordmod..so im not sure how to follow steps correctly.
Plus i think there is velocity 1.1 now! im going way back then. What can i do?
Im getting a new phone tomorrow shipped to me because this one totally messed up.

Or use SuperOneClick. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the guide.

If you use superoneclick which is STRONGLY UNRECOMMENDED, install rom manager. flash the recovery and then the alternate recovery. AND DO NOT FLASH ANYTHING WITH ROM MANAGER. You mush flash the velocity zip file with recovery.

Okay so tomorrow when i receive my new Lg Ally through mail i will follow the guide you have provided me with and follow the instructions step by step carefully.
After i install 2.2.1 froyo how can i install velocity 1.1 or 1.0?

the guide will give you a choice between stock and velocity 1.0 but usually you would download the ROMS zip put it on the root of your sd card and flash the ROM in recovery
