Help Bluetooth Capabilities?

Hello, I just got a brand new car with bluetooth and I already have been able to set it up to take calls and make calls, but I was also told that I should be able to play my music that I have saved on my phone using bluetooth.

With VM is that possible? I know VM limits what you can do on all their phones, and from previous phones I haven't been able to do anything with sound or music via bluetooth

Just curious if I can,
Thanks

VM does not constrain this function, and it is supported on the Motorola Triumph phone. There is a bug in the phone that causes it to disconnect and reconnect to Bluetooth periodically, but the functionality that you're asking about will work.

Just pair it and press play.

alright thank you for your response! I look forward to being done with work now haha

Right, there are different BT profiles, and the MT supports streaming audio and hands-free phone operation.

BT profiles are described here:

And the specific profiles the MT supports are documented here:

Back to your question, not only can you play your .MP3s (you can use the default Music player or others like MixZing - which will download album art, and also has an equalizer), you can stream music to the phone, and then to the car radio. Two of my favorites are TuneIn and Pandora. You can also stream music via a program like Jango. There are probably others.

At home, so I do not need to use a cable to the earpiece connector, I use an inexpensive AD2P BT Receiver I purchased off eBAY (approx $18) plugged into a pair of amplified computer speakers. Works great.

I'm not sure about car equipped BTs but for handsfree BTs with FM transmission, the streaming music is no CD quality.
