bluetooth doesnt work ?

just got my new hero today but even though i have bluetooth enabled and made it discoverable it refuses to recieve any file i send it ..any ideas

As a rule, the HERO doesn't support file transfer across bluetooth without an app - I use Bluetooth File Transfer from the market - also comes with a nice widget =)

Bluetooth on android 1.5 is very limited. It will be fixed on the 2.x release tho

couldnt point me in the right direction for the bluetooth (filename ) is it free ?
also when does the new firmware android 2.0 come out ?

Bluetooth File Transfer is the name of the App - and yes it's free - I think it's in the sticky about must have apps at the top of the page on this forum, but you'll need to barcode scanner to get the quicklink =)
