Help bluetooth option grey'ed out?

so i just got my Samsung Tablet today, i am not new to android at all, and why i can't figure out how to turn bluetooth on is beyond me.
i just bought it, didn't sign up for a contract, does that have anything to do with it? i am going on about 2 hours of sleep and a migraine so forgive me if it's a silly question.

menu > settings > wireless and network > bluetooth settings > turn on bluetooth

does that work?


edit: just making sure, you have tapped the bluetooth icon in the notifications bar to turn it on right?

im just a dummy. my husband turned on airplane mode and i didn't realize that bluetooth didn't work if that was on. it's all good now
