  • SYSTEM: Rewrote mobile data tile label code so that it mirrors the carrier label in the notification drawer
  • SYSTEM: Prevented mobile data type indicator from showing over roaming indicator on signal cluster when roaming
  • SYSTEM: Prevented mobile data type indicator from showing when sending MMS while connected to Wi-Fi
  • SYSTEM: Enabled Google Search shortcut on AOSP lock screen when shortcuts are set to camera
  • SYSTEM: Enabled navbar search gesture (swipe up from navbar)
  • SYSTEM: Fixed QuantumThemer not working after flashing the release 9 full zip
-------------------------------------------
RELEASE NOTES: I thought I'd have to recompile a few themes after getting the roaming indicator bug fixed but I was able to fix it programmatically rather than thematically so this was not the case. All themes for 9 should be compatible with 9.1 but please let me know if you run into any issues.

EDIT: Must I always eat my words? The Honeycomb Inspiration theme had to be updated due to some tweaks to the signal cluster layout. Please re-download it if its your preferred theme.

Funny i just finished installing 9 first time on conquest and already an update i like this your on top of your game keep it up and thanks.

Hello all. I would like to install this rom, sounds great. I have a few questions though that I'm hoping you guys can clear up for me. I am currently on the liquid smooth rom. I am on a S3 from boost mobile and on L710VPUCMK3 (baseband version). It says in your OP that I need ND8 or NDC baseband/bootloader/modem. I am very familar with flashing roms, not so much so with baseband/bootloader/modem. I usually don't mees with them if I don't have to. Do I need to changed my baseband, etc?? If so, how do I do that and where do I get the files, zips that I need? Thanks in advance for all the feedback.

You must 1st update your phone to 4.4.2 Kit Kat.

Here is a link that will tell you how to update

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=53219958

You need to use Odin to flash the 4.4.2 Boost tar file. You will then need to use Odin to flash the d2lte Philz recovery tar file.

Please post questions regarding the update in that thread, not this one.

My phone is currently updated to 4.4.4 kit kat, do I still need to update if I'm on the newest version?

You're running an AOSP ROM. You have to be. 4.4.4 isn't available for our phone otherwise. If your baseband doesn't read NDC or ND8 then you need to update.

You should know if you took the Kit Kat update or flashed it with Odin. That's the only way you can be running the 4.4.2 bootloader.

Please start a thread for this or post in the thread link I provided in my earlier post if your baseband does not read NDC or ND8. If you are running the 4.4.2 bootloader then you can go ahead and flash this ROM.

Edit:

I see you've made a post regarding the update in my ROM ETC thread. Let's do Moonknightus a favor and keep the post regarding the 4.4.2 update over in my thread. Thanks

Where do I find the odin version that is specific to the s3 boost phone?? I have been some reading and it seems like there are many versions of odin that work with specific phones. Also, if I have to update my philz recovery, how do I do that? Its been so long that I really messed with the recovery that I don't remember. Can I just flash the new recovery zip with the currently recovery??

  • SYSTEM: Disabled AOSP lock screen shortcuts when lockscreen rotation is enabled
------------------------------------------------
RELEASE NOTES: Turns out theres some screwy code in our base ROM that messes up the AOSP lockscreen shortcuts when the lock screen is in landscape mode. To prevent this, any time lockscreen rotation is enabled, the AOSP lock screen will not display the search or camera shortcuts regardless of the shortcut mode set.

Does anyone know why I can't change the battery text color in the status bar ? I have tried several times, even used wanam exposed through xposed installer with no success.

Use the 3Minit Battery Mod which is already built into the ROM. It has tons of battery icons to choose from.

You will need to enable it in settings before it will apply.

I seem to be having another issue. When I get close enough to a open wifi network, it connects but I cannot get the Browsers to open to the page to connect to the network, example McDonald's. I have tried multiple Browsers, chrome, dolphin, opera and it's the same thing so I doubt if it's a browser issue. When I was on liquid smooth, what ever browser I used would always take me to the welcome page of the network. Anyone have any ideas?
I don't know if this is important or not but when I go to settings, mobile networks, connections optimizer a window comes up saying the process com. Android had stopped. Would this be connected to the issue I'm having?

Does anyone know how to turn off the sound when the phone detects a open wifi network? It makes a notification when it connects and disconnects from a open network. I have looked in settings but can't seem to find it. Any help would be appreciated.

The only thing I know of is Settings>WiFi>Menu Button,Advanced>Network Notification.

That will stop the notification sound, but it might also stop all notifications for open networks.

Good info, Helo. That's exactly what I was going to tell him. He should be able to remedy his problem in the WiFi advanced menu. :D

I will try that and see if it works. I don't want to disable the status bar notification, just the sound notification when it connects and disconnects from wifi.

Moonknightus - do you know why when my phone connects to a open wifi network that it makes a sound notification? I would like to turn that sound notification off only. I went into settings, wifi, advanced and disabled notifications but it still made that sound notification when connecting and disconnecting from wifi. I flashed back to liquid smooth rom and it did not do it so it seems like this issue is rom specific.

Doesn't happen to me and I've had no other reports of this so clearly not ROM-specific. Does this happen when you use stock ND8 or NDC? I've made no changes that would cause a notification regarding anything to do with Wi-Fi.

I am using the rom as stock, changed nothing. It is NDC. I have no idea what is causing this? Do you have any suggestions?

If you are using the NDC stock ROM, I'd advise you to post in that thread as this one is for the ROM listed in the title.

Where can I find themes for this rom? This rom seems to run very smooth, however I would like to make it look awesome. Thanks!
