Root [Boost Mobile] Apollo Music Player??

Skinnyjeans21

I got on FDroid to look for AdAway and ran into Apollo Music player... downloaded just out of curiosity (I knew it was from CM9/10) and it worked flawlessly! The themes for it on Play work with it too!
I'll try and see where on XDA it is, but anyone have any idea why I've heard some people say it'd be incompatible with gb? You know since its made for a higher android version??

Power Amp has always been my staple w/ Acid Audio engine, but I like this! Clean, and the album art is awesome! And.... now that I'm listening to it, I could swear it's louder!!! IDK, maybe it's me????

Nope, its louder :D Its my main music player now :) Running it with the Google Music theme since thats what I'm used to seeing anyways :p

@skinny this is the player I was talking about using if I couldn't get google music to quit bugging out. It's pretty sick eh?

I've only been running it for one night and I already love it :D Google Music bugs out on EVERY phone now due to its latest update, so they just made that app totally useless. Apollo is a much better replacement, for any music player really.

Thanks!!!
I tried it out and I like it so far.

One thing I'm not sure of. Does the EQ work?? When I click on it, nothing happens.

That couldn't be it. Theming doesn't change menu options or remove the equalizer. Maybe the one I got is different?? I stated in the OP that I got mine from FDroid not the XDA link.

Ehh, depends how heavily themed it is. If someone heavily (incorrectly) modded an XML, it could have hidden or moved the UI elements in question off screen.

Could it perhaps be a dpi issue. I know with adw launcher on noob hidden ui buttons appear once the dpi is set low enough. Such as the adw settings menu button that shows up to the right under the status bar or the backspace button on the dialer.

Although I liked and thanked your post.:D
I doubt it:)

Yeah I went ahead and installed Apollo to see. The equalizer option comes up when you hit the options button on the phone itself along with a few more options like fetch lyrics and such. Also didn't do anything on my end trying to click on it. Liking the player though.

Maybe I can try and look for a link to my copy of Apollo, I'm not seeing any of that eq and lyrics stuff that y'all are, my copy is working perfectly fine

Well couldn't find a link... here's some screenies of what I'm looking at on my end

Nothing wrong at all with my copy of Apollo....

Got a question. I dropped Apollo s apk in system/app and set permissions to -rw-r-r. Would it be safe to remove MiuiMusicV3.apk from there. Running noob viii.ii. having issues with it starting music up if I get a facebook notification.
