ZTE MSL Utility

I frequently see people asking how to get the MSL code for their phone, and there are several ways to get it, but this is probably the easiest way for most. I have used this several times on 2 different Warps, and can confirm it works perfectly. All you need to do is:

1. download the apk. from https://www.dropbox.com/s/uxzy7mr13ch3i9i/MSLUtility.apk
2. copy it to your sd card
3. install it on the phone
4. open the app.

Thanks so much for the download! I'm such a dork though. When I tap "read SPC" it tells me "to enable diag, dial ##DIAG# in the dialer" (and then to enter a 6 digit code when prompted). Do I have to be rooted to use this? If not, how to I do the ##DIAG# part?

I'm not sure if the phone has to be rooted or not. I've only used it on rooted phones, and I've never seen that message "to enable diag ...##DIAG# in the dialer". Is your phone rooted? If not, then it probably is required.

I do know that ##DIAG# doesn't work on the Warp, and it's not required to use the app. But anyway to get the warp into diagnostic mode (for use with certain pc software llike QPST, DFS, etc.) see my post here:

Yes this app does not work for me either...and the header says Samsung... the easiest way I know of getting the msl/spc is the ''meid converter'' in Google play... hope it helps
