Can someone PLEASE upload an untouched 100% Stock NANDROID backup, and stock recovery for zte warp? If possible.. PLEASE I'm sure everyone would very much appreciate it including me - I really could use 1 right now.

----THIS IS THE b08 version BEFORE THE LAST UPDATE-----

You need CWM recovery installed.

( Same Instuctions As Woodstock's Nandroids http://androidforums.com/warp-all-things-root/490541-nandroids-zte-warp-gb-2-versions.html )

How to install

- Unzip and copy the contents of Untouched_Stock_Nandroid to your SD card. In the clockworkmod/backup/ folder
- Reboot phone into CWM recovery.
- Go to wipe data and factory reset. Select yes
- Go to wipe cache. Select yes.
- OPTIONAL: Go to advanced. Select wipe dalvik cache. Select yes.
Go to backup and restore. Select Restore. Choose Untouched_Stock_Nandroid and select yes.

Reboot phone.. That's It --- Hitting the thanks button if I helped you means a lot...:cool:

The problem is that in order to do a backup you have to have CWM recovery. So if you have CWM your update wont have stock recovery. So theres no way to make a 100% stock nandroid. You can have everything stock but the recovery though.
 
Ya,but can't you flash a stock nandroid then flash the stock recovery image?

Not doubting your expertise in this, but just outta curiosity, is there no way to make one in zip format to use with the stock recovery on the zte warp?
I guess I'm not familiar enough with cwm and the stock recovery to know what the difference in the 2 are, other than cwm has more options.

That brings me to another question. I recently used a program from zte that let me re-do my zte warp back to factory specs, so now I have my camera and email apps back, (won't make that mistake again) I didn't have cwm installed at the time, but am thinking about putting it on. So my question is, is there a way to put back the factory (stock) recovery? , so if I say wanna return the phone or send it in for repairs

There's a post in the root section that has a copy of the stock image! You flash it the same way you flash cwm!

I must have missed that. Are you referring to the one woodstock made/posted? if so that's not a "stock" one 100% as the person who started this thread wanted. Could you provide a link to the one yer talking about, because I have looked and haven't found a 100% stock version, ie: no go launcher X etc..etc...not that the version that woodstock provided is bad mind you, just some people don't wanna use that launcher, as for me I just have to get cwm on my phone is all. It would suit my needs just fantastic, because I use go launcher anyways, would save me from having to install it heh.

I just wish you could update a zip with the stock recovery.

Yes you can. If somebody will use the update tool from ZTE and after its finished put CWM recovery on it and do a nandroid without rooting or doing anything else, not even activating then it would be all stock with exception of the recovery. Then they could flash stock recovery and be all stock. After all that if they did a factory reset it would be 100%.

Yes there are people working on making an update.zip look for the thread in the all things root section. However if we could do what your describing there wouldnt be a need for CWM. The problem is CWM can flash unsigned zips and stock cannot. If we had a way to sign the update zips we wouldnt need CWM. Yes you can always flash stock recovery back to the phone. I made a one click installer that has both a CWM bat script and a stock recovery bat script in it. You can find that in a thread for recovery one click install by SnakeX. But his OCS isnt the one. There just isnt one. And you cant make one with stock recovery in it as far as I know. Read my comments above.
 
Very good woodstock, thanks for the updated info. Now I can see what holds up the img files from being made. So just one more small question. Are the img files digitally signed, like say drivers are and is it zte, or whoever else, the ones that sign the img files?

I am currently looking into getting cwm on my phone, just it seems windows xp has issues with the drivers. I'm posting in that thread now to clarify some stuff for myself.

I read I think I saw that you were leaving, sad to see your leaving, but I wish you the best where ever you may end up or go.

Its not img files but usually an update comes in the form of an update.zip. And they are digitally signed. Probably an XOR key to the md5 sum or some oddball crap like that. It just hasnt been cracked. So if you were to try to flash an update that wasnt signed it would fail.

Yeah I just cant use a phone that doesnt work where I work. 0-+x<>/0=0 Cant make any equal anything else. Im going to try a signal booster first though.
 
ah, yeah that can be a bit of frustration for sure. I hate when signal is weak or none. I've had people say this comapny or phone sucks or that comapny or phone sucks, it's simple, they ALL lose signla or have weak signal, depends on where you live or are at, at the time....I've dealt with ALL 4 major companies, and talked to numerous people with different carriers, and they AL, everyone of them have dropped signal or had issues with signal. It boils down to where you are at and who's got that area best covered at the time. Seems like it changes over time too, what once was a good sprint area, is now a better Verizon or at&t area. I was coming home from work on sprint and was roaming on Verizon towers, how I found out was I dialed like *2 I think it is for sprint, and it said "Welcome to Verizon cell phone help" or something like that, I was like wth!?!? then it clicked, duh! I was roaming lol, so I feel your pain and frustration.

I realize you know a lot about this stuff so I'm just curious as to why an activated phone would matter? BTW thanks for all your help here on the forum MUCH! appreciated! :D
 
But it is possible to put cwm on a stock phone, make a backup and then flash the stock recovery, which is listed in the one click cwm

Just load the nandroid, flash back to stock recovery (Like downthemachine said) and there you go ;) -- I originally wrote this thread because the other nandroids on the forum have been modified and I wanted a stock BACKUP......:o
