Root [Boost Mobile] CM9 for Warp Development thread

I was spoiled on my triumph with cm9 xD sure the camera didn't work...but I carry my Nikon D3100 with me everywhere.

Cm9 is a rom built off of ice cream sandwhich... and it is extremely modified... and idk about the kernel stuff... but I do know it requires a modified one to run properly

it's basically a combination uber modified android source and modified kernel ramdisk. the files modifed in the kernel i believe would be the init files and the ueventd files. the files modifed in the android source is pretty much everything with regards to the framework and the libs. basically what unknown said is exactly what cm9 is, a core type software/rom. Im still doing work with twrp, and also doing work on cm7 at the same time. sucks being the only one working on the software, but whenever i get free time i will devote most of it to working on this.
 
yeah i bet it sucks man i really wish i could help but ive got a lot going on too if i find my laptop ill message you and you can send me all the files and ill see what i can do :D id love to take a look into all this and see if i can get something bottable and operational

my source is bootable, but it's messy. I can try adding it to my github, but i havent been on my github since hroark posted his original cm7 source...

Funniest damn thing last night. I used your test build, compiled, flashed it. Let it boot, then fell asleep while it didn't boot. I woke up 4 hours later and did a restore with 14% battery life lol. Wasn't anyone's fault, I just thought it was a funny story :D
 
Both MIUI and CM7 have their pros and cons. I love the look of MIUI but enjoy the cm7 features. But I agree, if we get cm7 running...that opens a lot of new possibilities, including MIUI
 
when i clone it i get very few files do i just add to the main clone of cm9 or to what im trying to follow the guide but i cannot get the files in the correct way...sorry this is the first time im going to try and work on any code
