Root [Boost Mobile] CM9 for Warp Development thread

bump, do we have a test build people can view that has the latest work that was done on this ROM? I would be interested, I heard RIL was working on one of the cyanogen roms but haven't seen it yet.

it's basically a combination uber modified android source and modified kernel ramdisk. the files modifed in the kernel i believe would be the init files and the ueventd files. the files modifed in the android source is pretty much everything with regards to the framework and the libs. basically what unknown said is exactly what cm9 is, a core type software/rom. Im still doing work with twrp, and also doing work on cm7 at the same time. sucks being the only one working on the software, but whenever i get free time i will devote most of it to working on this.

Quietstorm, when you get a chance can you push your twrp to github?

All,

First let me introduce myself I am g60madman from the Motorola Triumph Forums here on AF. Some of you may or may not know me. Anyways I am posting as I have been revamping our device files for our version of CM9 and based on some searches in Google for our wifi settings

WIFI_DRIVER_MODULE_PATH := "/system/lib/modules/libra.ko

it lead me to hroark's github.

It's very possible a lot of our device files may work for you to get your phone up and running with CM9. The only major difference I have found is your chipset is a Snapdragon and our's is not. Also I am not sure who your developers are as it looks like you lost hroark and Quietstorm form lurking through your forums.

Anyways if you have any developers it's possible I could assist with a joint effort to help you guys get it working. I have not messed around with hroark's github sources yet but I am very curios about his wpa supplement. As we share the same wifi device. Also going over our board config's we share a lot of the same setting minus the scorpion setting you need for your Snapdragon chipset.

Anyways if you could have a developer PM me we could talk about what is and what is not working, and it's possible I could help. I will subscribe to this tread in case anyone posts.

Thanks,
-g60

Ihope it gets the ball rollin id like to see what cm9 would be like for us but if not im still happy with our overall options and mods that gave already ben brought to our phone

in order to get this going we need to modify the repo file and point to a bitbucket account for our specific files, i looked over it but dont have the time right now you are welcome to point to my account [the reason being it is unlimited in size] ill create a repo and do what i can to assist. unfortunatly i am very shy on time right now so i can not to much

pm me if you need anything and ill try and get back as quick as possible

https://bitbucket.org/themonkeymixer/warp-cmp is the repo if you need another let me know

Is there a reason you use bitbucket over github? Is there a way I can browse the code with out downloading it? If your worried about space github offers plenty of space. I have all of CM9 and CM7 code up on our our organizations and it's way over 5GB. The way github works is it links files from one group to another and the only time you take up space is when code is your own code. Here is all our major repo's for the Motorola Triumph

Also here is our website with wiki on how to setup your Linux environment, download the code, and build.

my coding class had a source tree to upload that was to big for github and i started looking at pricing. bitbucket gives you their top unlimited account if you verify that you are a student. I get unlimited repos and space so it works for me

the second question is about browsing code online, yes you can. im in a lecture and cannot do anything with the source right now. so i have not uploaded any of the changes

Got you for class that makes perfect sense, since your using CM code it's not a big deal since there is hundreds of githubs forked from CM Team. Well when you get a chance if you could send me a link when you get the code up and I can check it out. If you have any questions on our code please feel free to let me know.

Sooooo I have classes till December 14 then I well have about 4 weeks of free time to work on this ROM porting, if any one else is still interested let us plan. :) we a bootable ROM but not much else, from the last update I heard.I'll look into a todo for priorities and try to get that posted.can we see hands up for Dec helpers?
