Root [Boost Mobile] custom power menu

Forgive me if I'm misguided here, but I never remember of seeing a step-by-step for adding a custom power menu to a ROM. If anyone has one, could give me any pointers, or could point me in the right direction, I'd VERY much appreciate it.

i have the same problem... so far i've seen that you have to use apktool to decompile and recompile the framwork-res.apk and android.policy.jar with the mods... but i don't know what they are.. i have been looking at roms that already have this feature and tried reverse engineering but have not had time or success... but ya a step by step would be awesome...

You can also use the dsixda kitchen to decompile and recompile...

There used to be a step by step guide to doing it but unfortunately it disappeared... and honestly I don't remember how to even do it... best thing to do would be to try to reverse engineer it from my rom or someone elses

Best advice I have is decompile both then use a file comparison program like beyond compare to find the differences and copy them over.

I'm doing just that, making notes as I go. In the end I'll compile them into tutorial form and upload for everyone.
