Root [Boost Mobile] Flashable Lockscreen, is it possible?

Is it possible to create one. I'm new to this rooting stuff. But i have a basic idea.

I'm a graphic designer and I was wondering if it's possible to create a flashable lockscreen theme because I really want to make some.

I would need some help though.

Hi Denise, and welcome to AF.

It is very possible to do actually.

What you would need is 7Zip, a graphics editing program, and SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk

Basically, right click and extract the APK's with 7Zip...go to the res/drawable-hdpi folder, and go to town!

Just be careful, though, if you decide to theme certain things that are .9.png's. They are a bit picky...the black border, you CANNOT recolor on those, as they contain a special coding.

Then once done, right click the original APK and there SHOULD be a browse option...or open archive..something like that...then go to /res/drawable-hdpi...and over-write the ones you recolored.

Then as for flashable...well we can cross that bridge when we get there

I've searched everywhere for a custom lock screen for the warp without having to install an app and i haven't had any luck at all.

I love my warp, btw!

Good luck, and let me know if you need anything. Just make sure you keep the image sizes the same, otherwise it could very well cause issues.

Your systemUI.apk is in the system/app/ folder and the framework-res.apk is in the system/framwork/ folder. Hope to see some of your work, this sounds cool ...
