Root [Boost Mobile] HELP! Need to root Tri-Band SPH-L710T after OTA latest update (L710TVPU0AO3)

It works! Here is my device info:

Software version:
L710TVPU0AOF2

Hardware version:
L710T.03

Model number:
SPH-L710T

Baseband version:

I put my phone in download mode, flash Philz recovery, then boot in recovery mode, apply root, reboot, install SuperSU from the Google Play store, follow instructions and you are done! YOU HAVE ROOT!

Watched some vids. When im in recover how do i apply root just click recover option or do i need to go into phils setting and do something..also do i need to do anything specisl with sd or will odin take care of all thst
 
When you boot into Philz recovery, just hit "Reboot System Now" and it will ask you to apply root or you can go to Philz settings, hit third option "Re - root System (SuperSU), yes, apply root

Thank you for your help. I will be trying this out tonight..once rooted i want to put carbon rom on it as well. Should i do these two together and one after the other.
 
You're welcome, I would apply root first then flash the rom just to make sure root works, you can do both at the same time. You should get root with this method.
 
Definitely! Sorry I didn't mention that before, YES! Make a back up first, boot in recovery mode, go to backup/recovery and back up your system to ext sd card or the location of your choice
 
Yes. Charging phone right now.. do the backup before I do anything right. Once got it on my SD do Odin.

Also I took back off and it says l710t. In my phone it says l710. App I dled its l710 and my phone says that...that normal?
 
Well, if you're have s3 triband (SPH-L710T) It shouldn't be a problem but if you have s3 (SPH-L710) it may not work I'm not sure about that maybe someone else in this thread can help you with that, if your phone is L710T then it should be normal

Luckily, I did the backup. I put wrong carbon rom for my device on sd...backing it up now. Any ideas on which one to use?

Update: Rooted and Installed Carbon. Sorry for hogging thread...thank you so much for all your help. #LifeSaver

Where did you find the stock tar for that model? Can you post a dropbox I've looked everywhere?

(L710TVPU0AOF2)

I will provide the link for anyone who needs to go back to stock with the latest OTA!:)

I really don't know what is new with this update, all I noticed new PRL 33041 and Device Name (it can be changed, i think)
